How long did it take you to get to 500 subscribers on Tap and / or Webtoons?

Just wondering how long it took people to get past 500 subs on either (or both!) sites!

I think for both in about two or three weeks

On Tapas I got my first series featured in the "new and noteworthy" so the subs came very quickly. And when I made a new series I had quite a lot followers that streamed in from my older series, which got me in trending. That skyrocketed my sub count quite a bit.
And on Webtoons I got a buffer that I uploaded one episode per day for two weeks, so I was on the first page of it's genre every day. That worked well too I guess

On Tapas, like over 6 months and on LINE Webtoon, about 3 weeks.
Weird how that worked out but I'm grateful nonetheless.

I've been on Tapas for about a year and a half and I have 48 subscribers. I've been on Webtoons for half of a year and I have 13 subscribers.

on tapas for my main series it took a long time, i would guess about a year (for my other series i got a staff pick so it literally took like a week) on webtoons however things have seemed to go faster. i actually don't know how long it took because i believe at the time i was uploading webtoons didn't show subscriber numbers, but i'd say about 2 months maybe

Took 7-ish months on Tapas and 2 weeks on Webtoon. I've slowly caught up to my Webtoon mirror tho!

Got 600+ subs in Tapas for many months. but in Webtoon just 1-3 days I got 200-1k subs

Not long on Tapas, but I came on here when Ink Blazers died and lots of people migrated over here.
On Webtoons, I JUST hit 200! Wooo!! Everyone says its fast for them, but its been turtle slow for me. I think it's been almost 7 months.

It's been almost a year since I joined Tapas and I've yet to hit 300 subs here. Webtoons is a whole other beast: I just hit 5 000 subs there!
My suggestion to get a lot more subs in Webtoons is: just keep posting here for now, until you have enough backlog to post EVERYDAY on webtoons for at least a month. That's what I did and it really helped my comic grow there.

I joined long ago, but to be honest, Im just updating daily for about the last two weeks, I only have 9 subscribers, any tips to gain a bit more? maybe a posting time that is preferred? thanks!

Over a year here, and another year later I still haven't reached 1000.

Took me couple of days on Webtoons.

The sites clearly have different audiences, so different comics will appeal to them.

Got our 500th subscriber after 3 and a half months on Tapastic. We joined Webtoon like 3 weeks ago and already got 223 subs there.

I've been on Tapas for just about 10 months now, and Have about 340 subs. On Webtoons, I started posting in late May and have just about 70 now.

My problem with Tapas is that people tend to unsub much more easily than on Line (growth seems to be pretty slow for me personally for that specific reason), I guess I haven't really found where my comic belongs; but I'm glad that there's a core group of people who seem to enjoy it, regardless!

It really depends on the series.

I've been posting for a year and I haven't broke 50 yet for one comic. (I guess at this rate, I could get 500 in 10 years...)

For webtoon I only have the first 3 chapters posted, so there are only 9 followers.

I know I deserve moreso than those crummy BL comics or "I'm socially awkward guyz" type comics that quite frankly don't deserve half of their subs imo.

Hey hey, that's kind of offensive. I understand that these kinds of comics tend to get subs considerably quickier, but it doesn't mean they don't deserve it. It was preeeeetty slow for us in the beginning (god knows how much we spent on advertising) and we have a BL comic. It's fine if you don't like every comic genre and it's kinda hard not to compare yourself to others (I'm sooo guilty of that), but we all have struggles and you might agree that making comics is not easy at all. Every subscriber is deserved.

Whose World has been on this thing where it gains one or two subscribers a week, then the next week it loses the same. I really wish I'd be able to get more subscribers consistently--even though it might because I only update once a week and people are expecting more. Who knows?

I've been updating on Webtoons twice a week for a while (after forgetting about it for a few months. Whoops!), and at this rate, I'm pretty sure I'll get to 500 by the end of summer. So there's that.

I think there's just different audiences in most places, like most have said.
