buffers. as frustrating as they are useful
and as we’ve established, they create a weird sense of calm to all those who see them, even when it’s not for their own comic/novel. so let’s share our buffers,
do you have one? how long is it?

i’ll answer my own question soon with pics i’m just on my phone rn

non existent XD whenever i do make one i have a bad habit of letting it run out

I don't even passively let it run out... I POUR IT OUT via bonus updates! \o/

Been trying not to do that, though. Right now, I'm 6 weeks ahead (for context, my comic updates 1x week).

Eek. My buffer was some months out but I've kinda screwed myself because I made my comic more detailed recently and now it takes me 2x longer to make pages...
I'm not freaking out at all..

Currently one month for one two months for my other comic I usually aim to be at least three months ahead if I can, but life is the ultimate distraction.

I currently have 6 buffer pages for Ark & am trying to add more.
Im building a buffer for Synth before it launches. It's at 4 so far.

I update half a chapter every couple of weeks, but for three months now I was able to work at twice that pace, so I am 3 chapters = three months ahead (and growing) :3
I am really tempted to reschedule the updates, but... I know I'll be going on vacation and have to write an essay or something, so I forbade myself from doing that before I finish what needs to be finished and I can peacefully draw

for 6 months rn. Preparing to go back to college.

I used to have 3-5 weeks of buffer but then it ended up running out during the holidays. Now I only have 1/2 pages at a time.

It waries. Sometimes it's weeks of updates and sometimes it's nonexistent. Like now...

Mine's still in shambles following my holiday antics in December. I'm rolling on like 2-3 weeks ahead is all. So like not critical danger, but not much wiggle room either.

I'm good for 6 weeks but not making much progress on that anymore because I'm fixing old pages...

Anywhere between a month and two months on my main depending on what size the updates are. So far my side stories (the one I'm currently publishing and the one to follow) have been fully completed before publishing.

I only start posting a chapter when it is completely done (save the inevitable last minute touch-ups right before posting) so if I continue to post at one page a week my buffer is just shy of 90 weeks.

I'm about 4 updates ahead for Heavy Horns, the only series I can make a buffer for right now on my schedule since it's black and white.
My other series don't have a buffer and I'm flying by the seat of my pants.

I used to be a month and a half ahead so about four updates if not more.... then the holidays hit, I’m not perpetually two updates ahead of myself until I can pick up steam and get my buffer buffer again. X_x

aaaaahhh.....buffer....how I wish you were longer right now X.x I'm just barely 1.5 weeks ahead because of extra hours at work and the pages are taking me longer because they're so much more complicated to draw X.x There are some weeks that I've got no buffer, but that's because Patreon is ahead by several pages to everywhere else.

Ideally, I'd like to have a month's worth or buffer, which for me would be around 12 pages. Buffers really do make you feel less stressed ^_^;;

I post 2 pages a week and my buffer is about 11 pages ahead so about a month. I'd like to make it even bigger if I can manage to haha.

I've been on hiatus to work on my buffer this month, so I'm up to 5 weeks

I'm very happy because now I can work in batches; so much nicer for my style of doing things  I was hoping to get closer to 8 weeks, but not bad for a start! I'm hoping it'll give me time to think about other comics I want to make
