i''l be around a few more years i can say i have a few more chapters for the first volume,i still want to redo some of my older chapters as the art doesnt hold up , recolor a few as i have improved, after i think i'll just jump into the second volume of 12 or so chaptersr and keep going till im much older
Thanks for the thread. So my main series is set to end this August after a solid 5 year run over 4 seasons, and 104 episodes. I am in the process of rebooting my main series for a 2026 release date. However, as a prospective franchise, I predict the stories left to tell will continue for as long as I live .
Now that I'm rebooting and am almost done with Chapter 0, I see a full chapter takes me around 3 months.
That means that, as I am now I can get 4 chapters per year.
The story seems to be aiming for 42 chapters.
11 years for the first Saga.
There are other three I'm working on connected to thi story, so if they are as long as this one, I might end everything in 44 years.
I hope is less.
I am working to find ways to optimize my comic, and get more time to work on it too.
There's planned to be around 6 major arcs in my story with some mini-arcs in between. I feel like it'll take a while especially at the pace of pages I'm going. As of right now, I'm only about a third through the first arc, though it being the first arc, there was a bit more time spent on setting up the setting and characters. But at the same time, I feel like arcs in the future will be shorter or longer, so not sure how to gauge this progress using the first arc as the basis.
But I'll do some quick maths anyways. I'll exclude the prologue as part of the first arc and say that a third of an arc takes 7 months, and assuming one mini-arc will be around the same length as a third of a major arc, I'll calculate the total comic time to be about.... 11 years Well hopefully I'll end up drawing faster as I continue on.
Oof, mine is gonna be so big haha... I definitely know Jade Kingdoms' first book will exceed 100k already, which is why I took out the entire prologue and turned it into a comic. XD The second book will not be as large, but who knows it could definitely also become a big boi.
Its gonna take me a few years though, I'm also making 3 comics sets in my novel and two light novels are planned also haha, y'all pray for me. XD
My full story is about 35+ chapters. This will definitely take a decade but I prefer to be able to foresee where my work would be realistically in 5 years time where the internet/world may not change so much:
I want to have at least 2 acts done (13~15 chapters) in 3-4 years from now, that will be 250+ pages. The story will at least cover the 1st 'arc' properly.
Well, seeing as how I didn’t really plan out a specific ending or episode count for my series, it will probably be as long as it has to be.
I do though, know how many arcs my series will have (for the most part).
There’s going to be 2 arcs plus a mini one in between if it calls for it. Then there’s a time skip where there will one arc plus 2 which I don’t have any detailed ideas on what I should exactly do for them. Then after that I plan on ending the series with mc getting married and becoming a dad.
There are ideas for potential sequels and even spin offs that take place while not taking place in the series’ universe are still apart of the continuity via a multiverse. (Don’t ask) I’ve also thrown around the idea of having the series not after the mc graduates high school and instead have it continue whilst he’s in college. Mostly because, with shonen from what I’ve seen, you rarely have the series continue after the main character becomes an adult. And in some cases when they do continue with the mc being an adult, it’ll mostly be them getting married and starting a family, with his of her son/daughter taking the role as mc. Nothing wrong with that persay, but life doesn’t end after you get out of high school. Personally I want to see how my main character would handle college especially since I’m currently in college so trying to relate to a character who’s in high school or middle school is almost impossible now that I’ve grown up.
All of this could change though so I wouldn’t be surprised if the info here ends up being irrelevant
My story's going to be a one shot and at this point it's looking to be around 60-70 pages, which each "page" having 3-4 panels. So around 250 panels, I'm guessing.
I'm hoping to get it finished within the next three months (it's about ~35% complete at the moment, assuming no major changes will be made to the story).
Heaven Hunters will run for 5 seasons. The first season is finished and released, the second season is scripted. Based on the length of the 2 seasons so far and what I've outlined for the last 3, I'd guess that Heaven Hunters will have 30-35 issues total. That's a lot of content. Last year I finished 70 pages, and with each issue being an average of 23 pages long, that means that the best case scenario for the series is-- you know what, I was going to do that math, but I really don't want to know. One page at a time my friends, one page at a time!
