How many characters are in your comic or that you plan to have in your comic

Right now at the early stages of my comic I only have at about 20 characters but I plan to have at least 100 relevant characters by the time my comic reaches its end at its 7th or 6th Arc so what about you guys, how many characters do you have in your comic and plan to have by the time your series end.
My comic will take at least 6 years for me to complete it so I wanna make up as much fun characters I can make by then

Talesfromswipecity had about 42 last count, most are sub characters and at least one had been killed off now with others planned to be snuffed out (and two fired because i have no more use for them)

Okay for my current comic I have 26 that are either reoccurring or really important to the story. Followed by around 45 supporting casts characters give or take. And they a handful of bg characters.

I find it hard to count because the story is broken up into episodes that are individual mini stories so they might change, more characters might show up or be cut.

I can think of about 35 relevant characters in my comic. I may include about 10 to 15 more depending on how relevant they are, but they're small roles that I'm not sure how heavy I'll be using them. I'm currently making a banner consisting of 32 of them, so people will get to see plenty of them before they make their appearance. It took me a year of planning their character designs before I even started drawing my comic, but I think most will agree that I have a pretty radically different cast.

Not that many, I have 6 characters currently and one of them is missing. I have about 7 more characters that will appear eventually, but that's about it.

100 is a lot! I'm on my 6th issue and I have about 20 characters I consider relevant. I guess it depends on how you define the term. For me, I mean reoccurring characters the have been involved in major plot events or characters the readers should know the names of/recognize.

If I really wanted to pare it down to characters I consider part of the cast and not supporting characters, I'd only count 10.

My story has a lot of side characters (probably around 20 reoccurring ones). I also have characters that appear only for a short while in specific arcs. Of my main cast I have 5 characters, although one is mostly focused on.

For Crow's Worth ... Oh dear...off the top of my head about 40 recurring characters. I think so far I have presented about 20 of them. Mind you many of them are related to another character, like parents, children, uncle/aunts, cousins, etc. I also have two main character and plan to add another one.

Though, I'm going to suggest to not force yourself to make 100 "relevant" characters. Because you might end up over stuffing your comic and your readings might have a hard time relating or keeping track of characters in your comic. Like, I have a character named Pan who appears often but doesn't have much of an impact on the over all story, and he has a little sister who has even less of a impact. I don't really plan to develop his sister in depth because it's not really relevant to the over all story.

Counting only characters who scheduled to appear in more than one chapter, Grassblades currently has a cast of 12. It's going to end up having somewhere in the region of perhaps 20 important characters by the end, unless I'm forgetting someone?

Of those, I'd consider maybe 7 to be the central cast (they'll be getting the most page-time), and maybe 4 of them are main main characters.

It might grow beyond that, but at this point ~20 is what I've got in my outline. I'm trying to focus on as few characters as possible for a story of the scope I'm attempting, because I want to give myself the time and space to really get into those characters and explore backstories and develop them properly.

... I tend to stick to rather small casts, whenever I can.

A lot, probably... Since my comic focus on survival, people will also die left and right, hence the amount of character. But the main and supporting main characters will remain somewhere under 10, probably... TT_TT

Our comic The Dumpling King has one main child protagonist but 4 main characters (3rd just revealed just now!) and about 7 relevant characters...
all of them are kinda not fun though hahaha... its really hard to create characters that are unique and don't overlap each other so stressful XD

I want to ensure that all the characters I feature by name are developed to be more than just archetypes and personality traits, so far I have a little over 20 such characters. More will probably arise, but for now these are the characters that are most directly related to one another and the plot.

Currently,I just counted, I have about 30 planned. I already showed around 24 of them. Probably gonna stretch past 60 or 70 a little by the time I'm done. Of course not all of them are going to be fleshed out and developed. A few are gonna be last minute for the final fights and to showcase shown characters powers. I want this done by the end of the year ;-;

I'm looking at about 5 main characters, 3 important secondaries and maybe 20 others who are relevant at various times. West takes place across villages/towns/cities across a wide area so...hundreds, possibly? It'd be possible to guess.

Wow, 100 characters is a ton! I have only have 10 characters including secondary characters planned for Household Slime Mold, but I might add more just as extras. I want to really flesh out all of my characters, so I'm trying not to go crazy with how many I'm going to have in my comic.

There are 3 main characters on my comic VCvsDvsCFAD, 12 somewhat important characters, and a ton more that are just there for a second hahaha. Every character has their story, but I just want to concentrate at the main 3 lives.

Life of an Aspie will probably when its all said and done have a total character count that's somewhere in the high double digits (I think). Main cast wise, it currently has 7 characters, 5 guys and 2 girls. I consider the main protaganist's grandma to be more of a "side character".

I limited myself to a maximum of 15 characters reoccuring characterd (there are actually more background characters that say a line or two every now and then but they dont contribute to the plot so im not including them) i limited myself because i didnt want to focuse too much on side characters and their plots. I actually thought 15 was a lot but reading posts on here its actually not that much 😂
