I definitely agree with the others here -- you don't have to respond to Every Single Comment -- if I don't really have anything to say in response, I upvote it and leave it at that!
I either (a) be coy, if it's specifically something I intend to address, like " :> That's a good question~!" or "wow yeah that IS weird, huh....... :>" or (b) upvote this and don't respond -- my reasoning is, you cannot possibly actually want me to tell you what happens next, so I'll assume you're just sharing your response to the page with me, and upvote to show my appreciation!
One time I had someone repeatedly ask me "how long does this spell last" over the course of multiple pages where said spell was being used, and that was the point I told them outright "since this is happening right now, you'll probably find out soon!"
These are the ones I'd genuinely answer. If 9. is gonna be explained, I'll be coy again ("Good question!!") but if it's something that's not gonna be addressed I'll give them a reason -- they might just not be following, or have missed something that I hinted at, or gotten caught on some detail I didn't think was important, and I'm okay with reminding people of stuff or kinda helping them make connections. 8. seems like it should have a fairly straightforward answer, or if you wanna be vague, "don't worry, we'll check back in on them soon/later!"
I'm gonna admit, if someone stopped posting the single awkward word "Nice...." on every single one of my pages, my response would not be one of sadness. I would think "oh good, they've realised that's weird and stopped, awesome!"
If you don't want people to feel as though you are ignoring them, you can just occasionally comment in author's notes or page descriptions or whatever, something to the effect of "thank you all SO MUCH for your comments, I'm not always able to respond / I know I don't always respond to them all but I read and appreciate every one!!" ;u;
