So Right now currently I have a Wacom Intuos Pro Small which I bought refurbished for 180 on Amazon.

I found this Cintiq for 150, he claims its basically brand new.

My question is, is having a Cintiq worth the money compared to a regular drawing tablet? Is a Cintiq a mess to get all to work?

Thanks for answering if you do.

I might save up for a Cintiq

I have never used a cintiq myself. But I do have a display tablet by xppen. I will say, I much prefer the display tablet over anything else. I would be more worried that it is a scam considering how low they are offering it for and how pricey cintiqs can be. But! If it is a scam, I will say that you can also save money on a display tablet by going with xppen over cintiq. they are an amazing brand and just as good, sometimes I think better, than cintiqs. also, most older cintiqs doesn't have express keys, which I live off of. But most xppen do.

So as for if a display tablet it worth it, absolutely, but I don't think the price of a new cintiq is worth it when there are other good ones for better price for the same thing. So if you don't go with this one but want to buy one in the future, maybe do some research on xppen!

I've had a xppen before and it started to act wonky after half a year of using it.

However that wasn't their display tablets .

I have been looking at Huion as well.

The Cintiq listed on craigslist seems to be from 2013 so its old.

I have had two xppens. I had the 22e pro and I loved it. It was huge, but great. I had it for 2years or so and then sold it to a friend cause I was upgrading to the Innovator 16. I have had that for seven months now. I love it too and don't have any issues with it! Plus for me, they are a lot more affordable so if I need to upgrade every few years, it is easier. But there are so many good display tablets. I will say, if it is that old, there could be an issue of the drivers not working or it could be slow just because of how old it is. So make sure to do some research on that end of it.

Thank you!

Yeah Ill be doing research. I don't plan on buying a display tablet till November or January. Gonna see if any will be on sale on Black Friday or Cyber Monday

Til then I'm saving up for one.

Personally the screen for 12WX is too small for me. I've had a Cintiq 16 for about 3 (?) years now, and I love it. The only thing I don't like about it are the amount of cables (it has an hdmi and usb cable for the computer) There are also no hotkeys, but I have a small keyboard sitting next to my chair for that so it doesn't bother me too much.

Xppen is definitely a decent tablet too, my brother bought during Black Friday since it was cheaper and I found it to be okay. Huion is also not bad for the price, but I'll just always be a Cintiq fan.

I never used a Cintiq or any screen tablet, but just a tip - I think you should keep in mind Cintiq 12WX is a pretty old model, afaik it was originally released in 2007, and has quite a low screen resolution (1280 x 800), which probably explains the relatively low price. You might want to get something newer if that bothers you.

Thank you for your feedback!

Yeah now that I think about it I can buy a Gaomon, Huion, or XP Pen new for the price of this Cintiq that's small , used, and old.
