Hi everyone ! How are you doing today ?

I have some questions for you about OC development : What job or remunerated activity would your OC do so they can make a living in their universe ? or What is their dream job ?

Thank you and have a nice day ! :purple_heart:

Hmmm... well before "That day" he could pretty much choose from scaring birds, weed picking, Milling or basket weaving. :joy:

That's so cool ! :joy:
Now you got me curious, I'll go see what happened "That day"

Many of my characters have jobs or something to do! One that impacts the most right now in my main work is Crow being a Knight - meaning he has to attend frequent training sessions, speak with his commanding officer. It's a combination of live in the barracks or live in his own small house provided by the knights order itself, and all of these activities basically mean he's cut off from socializing with mostly anyone else in the story.

Mercenaries most likely. I mean, their abilities would suit it.

I mean my MC Harlow becomes a mercenary in a way so I guess that’s her job.

If it was modern/realistic though, She wouldn’t be allowed to have one because she’s not old enough.

My main character helped in his parents' farm so he has some basic farming skill. He is also well-versed in local plants identification and traditional medicine.

Currently he is a high school student, he is still in doubt whether to become a farmer or pursue a medical career.

My main characters from other series are soldier and apothecary respectively.

Well, spoilers, but Simon is going to be a photographer when he exits school. It's one of his passions and while he was always good at learning, it didn't bring him all that much Joy.
Joey on the other hand is going to study business economics and ends up as a successful CEO. He would have also loved to become a history teacher, but he still has a lingering feeling of pressure of his parents and considering the carreer prospects of studying history he chose the former option.

For Isiah, he'd be a monk for his religion, Rina wants to take her father's place on the throne, Nerin is thirteen and doesn't really know what he wants to be and Emrick wants to continue his job as a scientist

My protagonist is an urban explorer and photographer, working as a florist in the beginning of the book. eventually she gets a day job in technical animation.

I think they would either be guards or just knights. But if the accident hadn't happend and their lives went on as normal, than I think they would eventually remain farmers OR attempt studying in order to pursue success and rank up a bit.

Almost all of the adult characters in my comic has job, Ravenlord is a bounty hunter while Joanette is a mercenary leader.

My main character has no job because he’s a vampire but if he did have one he’d probably be a farmer. He likes physical work and chickens. His job in his former life was a mob gangster but I don’t think he’d go back to that anymore

My main character Crow used to work in a subdivision of the Police which babysat kids with magical power. This job was unfit for him and he was moved to a department where he has to look after troubled tweens and teens.

I think ideally he would want to be a cowboy on a dude ranch. However those don’t exist where he lives.

Well Styrka's job is being a bodyguard lol. Albus is the heir to the throne, but I guess his job is essentially being a politician. He was already fairly involved before the plot starts, even though that doesn't show in the story

My main character, Kiai is a web designer ... while Latery, a columnist who publishes her own column on magic and mysticism in a weekly magazine.

Oh man, I don't know. I worry about her career prospects, lol.

Something social where she doesn't have to be straight-laced and professional all the time?
