I’m working on my first villain arc for my action-comedy, Supernova. I’d like to meet some of your bad guys!

Introduce any of your villains using an excerpt from your novel. If you have any artwork as well, share that too! Don’t forget to link your story.

“Supernova! What a delight!” said the old man, “Though I must say I’ve already had my fair share of treats today.” He laughed as he nodded towards the sugar tank.
“Give it up, you geezer! I don’t know who you are or what you want, but you better back down if you know what’s good for you!” shouted Elizabeth, holding a tight fist in the air.
“Ah, how rude of me, let me introduce myself.” The man raised his arms up in great dramatic fashion, “I am Dr. Albert Cornelius Thore—” his arms then fell to a shrug as he added, “D.D.S.”
Noah looked at his teammates and back at Dr. Thore, “You mean like a Dentist?”
“Yes.” he answered, then placed his fists by his hips and perched forward, “But I am also a great inventor and scientist!”

Here's my villain's introduction. It's an excerpt from my 3rd chapter

"Dracious, why did you do this too me, " said the man. "You sacrificed so much of our brethren for what!"

"Matthew," said Dracious, "you'll never understand."

"I don't think I want to!" yelled Matthew.

"You and your silly ideas. Not everyone gets to live a happy life. Not everyone gets the life you have, oh great archangel," sneered Dracious.

Matthew flinched back in surprise, "I trusted you, with all my heart, yet I watched you kill my father. You'll never imagine the pain I felt, the betrayal I felt."

"Ahahaha," laughed Dracious, "Is this what this is revenge? If you want revenge go ahead and kill me already."

"I'll never be satisfied just from killing you," said Matthew.

It sounds like those two have a history. Either way, he seems really evil.

My first villain of the series has been introduced in chapter 26, Luminado. But what do this dialogue exchange tells you about him?

However, they turn their attention towards one of the tents that has a huge gathering of Desperado’s mercenaries were surround a quadric size tent. Until one of the men was sent flying from the tent itself and collided itself against one of the prisoner wagons.

“IDIOTS! YOU’RE ALL JUST IDIOTS ASKING TO BE KILLED ON SITE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!”

A man then walks out from the tent as the men cleared a path for him. The man itself had a horse mane-like hair with scars covering his face. He wore a black cloak with the armored skull and crossbones of the Desperado’s sigil on its back. The cloak itself covered his shoulders but stills show his aging armor with dents and scratches from a long time battle from his past.

“Luminado! Please understand! I did it only gain more funding for our men! We need as much cash as possible!” said the mercenary grunt begging for mercy.

“You disobeyed when I told you to only raid shipments from the aristocrats AND YET HERE, I FIND YOU FUCKWADS KIDNAPPING AND SHIPPING OFF SLAVES AS WELL! You’ve just painted a target on our heads for doing that! Most of all in broad daylight! It’s only a matter of time before the south sends in their forces after us! Or worse, they’ll put a bounty on us and every other mercenary band will be coming for us for an extra payday!” Luminado harrowed at the grunt he threw.

“Please Luminado… I beg of you! I’ll fix this! If we sell these people off in the slave trader markets, we can make a good buck! In fact, we switch our business up with the slave trade we’ll eventually get enough to dominate the other mercenary bands! Hell, we could get enough to hire more men and overthrow the south itself.”

The grunt nervously laughed as he tried to convince Luminado that he did nothing wrong. However, Luminado was not buying into it at all. He reaches for over his shoulder reaching for a pommel and pulls out a claymore sword from behind his back as his face is filled with anger. Slowly, he approaches the merch as the slaves in the wagon turned away as they believe he going to slaughter them.

“No… no, please…. PLEASE! LUMINADO I BEG OF YOU!!”

Luminado unleashed his rage as he slams his sword on the mercenary cutting him in half. His blood was splattered all over the cart as the slave trembles in fear from his ferocity. They knew now to fear him the most.

“Rally the men and pack up! We’re moving out, now!”

Luminado shouts at his men as they scatter themselves like ants as they begin to take down each tent and stash each of their weapons in crates. Luminado then kicks the wagon in frustration as it shakes and scares all the prisoners and slaves aboard in it. He then rubs his hand against his forehead as he’s frustrated about his own men went behind his back and tried to get the mercenary band into the slave.

“Brother, what should we do about them?”

Another mercenary in famine-like armor approached Luminado. He then breaths out a sigh and pulls his hair back as some of it fell in front of his face during his killing of the rogue merch.

“Screw it. We’ll have to sell them for now. If we free them, then they’ll tell that we imprisoned them.” He said.

“Why don’t we just kill them?” she asked.

“Idiot! Killing them would just paint a bigger target on us then it already is. It’ll show that we’re nothing more savage dogs.” He implied.

“I’m just saying, we can’t leave any witnesses behind. If we don’t kill them now. They’ll surely make a bigger fuse when we sell them in the black market.” She said.

She ready’s her sword to slay them all on sight. But Luminado grabs her hand and pulls her towards with deep anger in his expression.

“We’re in the deep shit as it is, kiddo. I already killed one of our own for stepping out of line. Do not make the same mistakes as he did. I rather not think of drawing your blood on my blade. We stick to the plan, sell them, and never deal with this shit again. Got it?!” he infirms her.

“… yes, brother.” She said as she drew back her sword into its scabbard.

“Good. Now go pack your things and be ready to move. Who knows what the south will send after us.”

He then takes his leave as he goes to take his own tent. The female merch, however, glared at the prisoners as she still wanted to kill them. But the firm grasp of Luminado’s warning was not to be trifled with. After all, she only has to look at her fallen comrade for evidence for that. She walks away from the prison cart and goes off to undo her tent as well. Xin signals Kam and Jax on the next step of their plan.

Here is the villain from my story. There actually going to be more but this is the leader of the group.

"Welcome, lost ones! My name is Mikel Richardson. The founder of the Rise of Light. You are here because my fellow followers have found you. Don't be scared. I'm here to help you. I'm helping you by giving you the offer to free yourself." Mikel took a sip from his black tea cup then continued to look at the camera. "People fear what they don't know. We can protect you from those who fear you. Don't think it's time for you to know the real truth?" Mikel's tone had a calm and pleasant sound to Leticia's ears.

Leticia didn't know what to think until Mikel showed something weird on the screen. She saw an injured older woman who looked like she was in her forties. She had a fresh burn mark across her arm where it started to heal itself before Leticia's eyes! She is confused about how the wound was able to heal so quickly!

"Don't be alarmed. This healing is all the work from her ability. She is a Bio-Kinesis." Mikel pointed out to relax the audience.

"Is magic real? Or was her mind playing tricks on her?"

Over the course of the video, she watched many people with different supernatural abilities and appearances as she thought this looks like something that came out of a horror movie! When the video finished, she felt even more confused on how this stuff has to do with her. Still, she can't be like those weird people. There is no such thing as magic!

"You may not believe all this. I can tell you why... Some spineless Supernatural doctors who worked with those evil non-supernatural doctors created a device that suppress your abilities and aura. They say to protect people and it is for the greater good." Mikel had walked over to the desk then took another sip of his tea and spat, " But they are dead wrong..."

I actually don't introduce my villain ... with this Mystery, the whole point is you have to work out who it is !!

Risky? Probably. Which is why the main character interrupts the book a short way in & invites you to play Spot The Mole :

|Okay. Time out. I know you’re beginning to fret that you aren’t getting descriptions or even names of all the characters, and you don’t understand everything that’s going on. Sounds like my world! The difference is you’ll get reveals at the end whereas, if the bomb goes off, we get our arses handed to us. So while I’m happy you’re following me around, until such time you score a job here you’re not authorised to spy a full face or anything which could allow someone to track us. Hopefully that’s a little clearer? Then let’s see how good you can be at the great game of Spot The Mole. Now, where were we? That’s right, the POI is disappearing on us …|

Mine is mystery too, so I can't really point out who the villain is. :joy: But let me show a small snippet of the chat server where one of the users is very suspicious!

@modthebod: Not sure yet. Getting some info but I’ll let you guys know, don’t worry.

21:25
@mr-drake: yo man, you better not keep us in the dark @modthebod. don’t be keeping Sandra all to yourselfs.

21:27
@modthebod: You don’t like how I deal with stuff, then fuck off @mr-drake.

Don't mind if I do~! My story has a few big baddies, but here's an excerpt for the main villain.

She couldn’t help the regular chatter and clamoring of the station, but she really wished that it were quieter as she contemplated her final moments. The laughter was gone, but there was still the everyday talking, the musicians drawing the crowds away from her, and the bird pointlessly flapping. In fact, it sounded like it was chirping louder now.

“That’s totally annoying.”

“I agree.”

A cold embodied her, though the touch was warm as a long arm slunk around her waist and a boney chin pressed against her now rigid shoulder. Thin fingers brushed across her skin as they tucked themselves into her hood to pull it down. She could feel dry lips brush against the arch of her ear as they parted to release a soft hushing sound that made her nauseous. The sensations wrapping around her all at once made her flinch, but that only served to get her tangled deeper into them because the man behind her firmed his hold and pulled her flush against him.

“Keep looking forward.”

Her heart leapt at the sound of his voice, but she did as he said. She looked at anything that she could see. The gum ridden benches, the different shoes people wore, the light bulb flickering on the passengers boarding the next train. As she did, the man rewarded her for her obedience by standing upright, removing his face from beside hers.

His jaw softly shifted the hair at the crown of her head, as if he were slowly turning his head in search of something. When a loud, aggressive twitter sung up from the tracks, the man aggressively twisted them both. The sudden action turned her to face the tunnels with a muffled yelp of surprise.

In response the bird grew louder, the chirping sounded almost scolding. However, she could feel the man tense and relax his arm around her narrow midsection, as if to embrace her in warning.

“This will not do.”

His voice was low and calm. Sickening and distorted. It made the shaking in her legs worsen and she had to cling to his arm just to not collapse to the tiled floor.

Mysterious organization in my story gets this:

Mayor Bendade looked nervously to the side and from behind the curtain walked thirteen people in dark purple attire and chartreuse sunglasses (aside from one bespecticalled member who wore very large non-sun-glasses with chartreuse frames) filed onto the stage. All thirteen of them had identical demeanors, all blank and serious, and a small identification tag too damn small to read from the audience.

This sounds fun! Okay, my main villain, at least for now, is captain Ilerox, a proud kaery that wants nothing more than to hunt down the humans that escaped his patrol in the battle above Mars. He is resourceful, honorable (at least with the members of his own species), strong, and confident. He was, in his heydays, one of the admirals of the kaery's armada, but was dishonorably discharged after the battle of the Blue Sun, where the humans put up their last stand, one that cost the kaerys a lot of lives and resources.
He wants revenge over the humans and wants to be recognized by the State once more, and he has the opportunity when the state gives him the task to hunt down the human fugitives.

Not really a villain in the traditional sense (that comes later and I don't want to spoil things  ) but this is definitely one of the big recurring threats in my novel.

As the brightness fled, she could now see a crater in the shattered stones of the road, and in that a beast that was even now uncurling. Larger than a carthorse with muscles that shifted and strained under a dark leathery hide, a bony head that seemed to be all skull, and lambent pricks of yellow light that burned in each deep socket. It brought itself to its feet, turned in their direction, and roared. It was a sound that humankind had once heard as they huddled in their caves, clutching stone weapons, and it was one that had become deeply-rooted in the species’ genetic memory as the most fearful thing.

here's my Series Oh My Ghost villain, influenced by Jojo's Bizarre Adenture, Mentalist, and American Psycho , (Mr. John) a psychopath substitute teacher who is obsessed Killing Beautiful young lady~ He is the Main villain on the current arc Season 6~

Ravenal " the 666 Evil Spirits that become one"~ She's The Main Villain of the Story~
She likes to Manipulate others and watching others to suffer~

Spire's villain is a bit of a spoiler but here's the villain of the story I have in development! he's at the head of a cyborg hive mind! His design was originally based off Cuckoo by Rob Cantor. The hive mind villains have been really interesting and a lot of fun to write, especially in the sense that they're a pacifist species. They see killing as a waste of resources and torture a waste of time (when you could just assimilate your enemies and learn their secrets that way) so I've really enjoyed writing around that.

My villain has yet to reveal him/herself but the character has already appeared. See if you can guess who it is
