Introvert, Extrovert or Ambivert?

Same. Especially since I seem to have a resting bitch face, people assume there's something wrong. I'm one of the quietest (and nicest, mind you) people you'd ever meet. Haha.

I'm fairly introverted. I can summon extroversion when needed but it takes a LOT out of me.

Extreme introvert, but because I live in America and wanted to be a musician I had to learn how to put on that extrovert mask. I feel like I can fake it very well now, but it's still a lie and not me at all. The majority of people I meet are wonderful people, but being around more than one person for any length of time wears me out something fierce!

I'm an introvert by choice because when I talk to people I often get nervous and say things that seem funny at the time, but then I realize how immature or even offensive it might have been. I try to avoid it if I can.

Wow. I didn't know about the ambivert thing. I googled it and yeah... that pretty much nails it.
Sometimes I'm way too loud and won't stop talking... on the other hand I really need to be all by myself every now and then. Some time.. not too much or I will get in a bad mood too XD I love talking to people..but I hate smalltalk... so so so much. Why would people talk about things they are not interested in?

But keac, why would you say you're an ambivert? Of course it's always a point of view and it's not like there is one drawer for each word, but what you mentioned sounds more introvert. It's not like introverts don't have friends, decide not to have friends or don't like people around them in general.^^

I'm extremely introverted XP It is quite the inconvenience, seeing how often I have to be in large crowds and talk with lots of people.

Schools tried to do the same thing to me as a kid, when I was 5 up until age 8 I was actually an elective mute because of social anxiety so I ended up getting put in special classes.
I too can't stand being in large groups or crowds >m<' makes me really nervous.
As for people who always ask why your quiet or if your okay I tend to get annoyed by it too.
It's like y'know I was doing just fine until you asked >_> I still have social anxiety but most of the time I'm just genuinely not interested in being social, I like doing my own thing.

I'm an introvert (not an ambivert) who is not shy. A lot of people conflate the two together even though they are two separate things. You can be a shy extrovert (which I imagine must be miserable...), an outgoing extrovert, a shy introvert, or a non-shy introvert.

Shy means you have trouble speaking up/ jumping in even when you want to.
Introvert means you're not particularly interested in speaking up/ jumping in most of the time.

I guess I'm close to an outgoing introvert. I can socialise somewhat fine and even though I abhor small talk, I do it when the situation calls for it.

But when I get asked to join them for more drinks at a different place after dinner and drinks with some people, I go, "Naw bruh, I left the Zelkats charger at home. Gotta go before I die lol."

Yeah, I'm like that too. I once lost my job because I wasn't best friends with my colleagues. I didn't have lunch with the group or go out for Friday night drinks. And it wasn't even that I was unfriendly, I made it clear that I had outside interests that I devoted my spare time to. I really hate that in-group / out-group mentality.

Ambivert, solid. I like being around people, and I like being alone. I can sit in my room and do the creative work that I need to do, but I can also engage perfect strangers in conversation and do a good sales job, as long as I believe in the product.

I used to be super shy (like ridiculously so), but my current job kinda forced me to get over that. The only downside is that, since I spend all day talking to customers, when I get home I often just want to lie in bed and watch a movie and not talk to anyone for the rest of the night! So I guess still an introvert at heart.

Shyness can really be solved by having the right people as friends - the ones who won't judge you or keep asking you what's wrong if you're not constantly talkative. @keii4ii clarified it very well!

I definitely can relate, @facemeltingsolos! American culture is all about extroversion. Maybe it's us and our So-Cal thing too, haha.
I think by now I'm an ambivert... But as a kid I was an extreme extrovert, then I got really sick so I was forced to be an introvert and just sit back and listen for years. Being in the middle is the most comfortable though. Not sure if anyone else is all over the place like that too, but I have a feeling as a person I will shift depending on where I'm at in life. I never could pinpoint myself in the introvert and extrovert tests.

Oh, man. Especially if people want to talk to you during breaks, set ups or tear downs. Clubs and places are always so loud. Though it is fun to laugh in people's faces when they ask if I want to go out on one of the few, free Friday or Saturday nights I have.

I would say that I'm introverted. I've never really heard of an ambivert before. I can tolerate being around people to a point, but I always need a bit of a reprieve by myself after a while.
