Cool, sounds like fun. And it might just be the push in the right direction this thread needs to get started up again!
@Chita You still up for answering some of the questions other characters asked you?
I've always wanted to do something like this! These are a family of six sibling mice who are all training to become agents for a king, and they specialize in different talents. (EDIT: It just occurred to me that I answered the very top posts at the beginning of the thread. WHOOPS)
Daniel (Royal Investigator)
Age: 17
Neil (Wizard's Apprentice)
Age: 16
Andrew (Saboteur)
Age: 10
Stanley (Warrior)
Age: 15
Simon (Diplomat)
Age: 13
Miranda (Assassin)
Age: 16 (Yes, she's Neil's twin)
@aqua03
To Selena, From Miranda: "Selena, what's your special power?
@Rodimus13
To Blue, From Simon: "Do you ever have to deal with bugs or glitches?"
@jensrichard77
To Blue from Blue Life, From Andrew: stares at you, astonished and confused "Ya look like one of my art projects...how do ya move yer arms?"
@kainatarma
To Keane, From Stanley: fascinated and amused How'd you do that with your head?
@Rodimus13
Simon (at Blue): "What is OUM?"
Build-a (I'm having all six mice answer that question each :P):
Daniel: "Sure, go ahead!"
Neil: "Uh...sure?"
Andrew: "I like pats!"
Stanley: "Why not?"
Simon: "It does feel nice~ ^w^"
Miranda: "I wouldn't advise it. I don't like being touched."
@Sibernethy
Keane: "I'm a fairy, fairies can do things human can't." (smiling) "I don't have the competency of telling you how, however."
(Note: Keane is just cautious of telling people how his body or power works, thus the unsatisfactory answer. Plus he lies quite a lot.)
Questions for all mice: " Would you be offended if someone calls you 'rat'?"
Blue: Well ah.. OUM is "Order Understanding Malfunction" it's basically when a robot is able to disobey or twist orders around to mean sometime else. Past the normal accepted limits given by other orders. We aren't "3 law" robots as we've heard others mention. But any with OUM are destroyed or put in a wall to be analyzed so humans can prevent it. Some bots, like the build bots, will have cascade failures in their braincase because of OUM. It's quite tragic.
Blue: Wooo hoo! I’m considered as ART. What a compliment! And my dear Andrew, I move my arms just as you do, when it is drawn. But somehow I think you are luckier than I am. I don’t get to have joints.
And once my girlfriend was expected me to kneel down for her, that was hard but you can see how I managed that here:
EDIT: Wuups. You are not a comic character. Sorry for that. I guess that makes me the lucky one. You can't even move. LOL
Selena: Oh, well we have the basic elemental power of water along with the ability to control storms and weather! We also are made out of water, so we can grow or shrink by absorbing moisture, become like clouds or ice, and shape shift somewhat. We also recently discovered we can greatly increase out physical abilities for a few minutes as well!
Flare: Can't forget about the hurricane breath. It's how she can talk for so long...
From my Dragoons to your mice: So, what exactly do you guys do?
From Alpha and Boreas to Build-a: Why do you like fluffy things so much?
Neat.
@jensrichard77 What's with the giant bunny rabbit that keeps getting implied?
@nostalgicroxas
Keane: "That would be a nice time to chill ---I hate sunny beach, just make sure my head wouldn't get blown off."
@kainatarma
To Keane, from all six mice:
Neil: "It's happened before but nah, people get that mixed up all the time."
Daniel: "I've been called worse things, I don't think rat is enough to bother me."
Andrew: "I have a friend who's a rat."
Stanley: "I've been called Demon Rat before. Some guy tried to start a fight with me in a tavern. You should have seen the look on his face when I made a certain face at him. "
Simon: "No, not really. Though it can happen accidentally, someone mistaking me for rat."
Miranda: smiles amusedly "Anyone who does is usually a criminal on the run that I'm under contract to assassinate or arrest. I guess they have a reason."
To Blue, from Andrew - "So what happens if ya break yer arm?"
To the Dragoons, from all six mice:
Daniel: grins "I'm a Royal Investigator. Basically people call me to come look at something whenever anything weird, scary, or unexplained happens. I gather a research team to find out what's going on, and anything I find there goes into a report. Then I decide who or what shows up to take care of what I find. I make a request to the person I'm serving, specifying who, what, or how many I need. I can even call in reinforcements if I want to. I love it when people give me a second look when they find out a mouse was placed in charge of a job like that, then showing them the badge.
Neil: "I'm an apprentice, studying magic under a wizard. That wizard is King Roland's archmage. Where I come from, people don't even know such things exist. It's all computers, internet, cars, and stuff like that. The benefit of being a wizard is that you know the spells you're using and the ability to cast them is built into you. You don't need to rely on a book, or a scroll, or a magic item of any kind, although people like to carry some around just to help them. I remember walking down the street in my hometown sometime ago and one guy tried to rob me. I'll never forget the look on his face when I grabbed his arm and froze it almost completely. He wasn't expecting that."
Andrew: "I get paid to break stuff and mess with people's plans. I go to wherever the king wants me to go, and find a way to screw everything up for the bad guys. So I've got this friend name Dill, and he goes with me sometimes. He's a goblin, ya see, and we're best friends! Here's some of the things I've done before: I've blown up machines, I've gotten armies to turn on each other, and one time I did that by writing chain letters and putting them on the sergeant's desk. yells excitedly And it's so much fun!!
Stanley: "I'm a fighter. I can use just about anything as a weapon. Combat is the thing I'm good at, but I have other interests as well. I study the undead, demonic races, occult societies, and what I've discovered is that not all demons are evil and not all undead despise the living. I recently acquired demonic powers, myself, and I'm curious to learn more about what I can do with them. I can turn my mind into a pocket dimension and harbor actual demons inside, gaining their powers while shutting off their consciousness once inside my mind. That's to prevent against anything like possession."
Simon: "I'm basically the king's diplomat. I go to places and work out things with other faction leaders and sometimes that involves exploring hostile territory. I also put together firearms and produce various gadgets at home. It can be anything from a bolt-action dart gun to smoke canisters to lightweight rifles. One of my latest experiments involved making a military-grade "bottle rocket" for Andrew, who's my brother. He liked the idea and though it was funny but I told him it has real explosives inside of each of them. I'll have to show him how to use it in a safe, controlled environment so he doesn't blow himself up."
Miranda: "I'm an assassin but also a bounty hunter. In fact the two go hand-in-hand. I'm part of a secret society that works with the faction leaders within a certain alliance. In the legal system, we have a penal code which goes like this:
If you have a public bounty of more than 1000 gold pieces on your head, your name gets added to a list of targets, which then gets fed into the secret society and circulated to the various members. Private bounties are ignored because they are not sanctioned by the king or the Commander of the Guard. People can pick and choose which targets to go after, and we have offices all around the continent, so if I don't catch someone on the run, someone else will.
Now, if you need another reason not to break the law in any of the countries, here's a good one:
You might get someone that may offer you the chance to surrender or get away with merely paying the fine you owe to the kingdom(s) you are wanted in. You might get someone like me. Or, you might end up with someone on your tail that is only interested in exterminating you and ridding the world of your presence, and we totally condone that. If you try to run after we've caught you, you will be put to death immediately. It's how we make sure certain people think twice before picking someone's pocket. We're basically the boogeymen of the kingdom. Remember, you only need to worry about us if your bounty exceeds 1000 gold pieces and usually you can do something about it before it ever gets that high, certainly before the point where we take notice.
Why did I choose to get into this line of work? Well, for a few reasons. One, it's a heavy, heavy responsibility that is not for the faint of heart, that I can actually handle. I've killed people before, and my brothers know this. I've had to decide whether some people live or die. You need a clear conscience when handling a decision like that and I can do it without hesitation. Second, you learn firsthand about the scumbags of society and the various tactics they employ against their victims. Because my parents vanished suddenly two years ago, I've had to be the surrogate mother, and I'm raising kids that are my age and older. Because I'm exposed to so many dangerous people, I've learned their ways, and I use that knowledge to protect my family from harm. Lastly, if everybody in the world were nicer to each other, the world wouldn't need people like me to deal with the ones that aren't. But we don't live in an ideal world."
@jensrichard77
Miranda: "That's in human years. By the way, you say I'm cute but you've never seen me take someone out before. My brother Simon on the other hand is actually cute and he had to kill someone for his own survival at the age of 8, which wasn't easy for him to do. He has feelings of guilt over that to this day because killing is not second nature to him. I can do it with ease and without any remorse because I have a balanced mind, and I know the difference between being an assassin and being a murderer."
(That was a LOT of text! lol But I had fun writing this ^^)
