So, who likes a nice, big, thick, juicy... Buffer?
I am supposed to be having a very busy summer, what with doing major renovations to my home (adding a 16x24 addition with a new master bedroom and ensuite bathroom). I am doing all of the work myself, from framing, to wiring, to plumbing, to siding... I'm simply too cheap to pay somebody to do it, and besides, I'm a handy type of guy. I enjoy doing it.
Because of the planned busy summer I had been building a buffer up so that my story doesn't fall behind. It helps that it is already fully written, but I still must draw up an image for each episode, which takes time, and also there's the formatting the story to fit Tapas' limited episode size thing. I was hoping to keep at least a four week buffer so I could prevent the dreaded "H" word (hiatus).
Unfortunately for my house, but fortunately for my story, the weather has been crappy. After a record setting dry April and May (including devastating forest fires) It rained every single day in June, and so far 7 of the 9 days in July. This has allowed me to grow my buffer to a whopping 8.5 weeks (I say 8.5 because the text of the ninth week is done but the image isn't yet).
So, at the risk of looking like I'm showing off (I'm totally showing off), who has a nice big buffer?
Oh, and here is how the renovations are coming. Way behind schedule, but I hope to make some serious progress this week!
