Life is strange, Legend of heroes trails of cold steel 1-3, Disaster Report 4

I play lots of PC Games! (I use Steam.) I prefer story-driven ones, or ones where I can create my own story, which is what all of these are:

Free:
-Unturned
-Dead Frontier 2
-AdventureQuest 3D
-Warframe

Under $30:
-Raft
-The Forest
-This War of Mine
-7 Days to Die
-Banished
-All of the Walking Dead games by Telltale

Over $30 but worth it:
-State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition
-Fallout: New Vegas
-Fallout 4

one of my favorite stories in a game recently is Hypnospace Outlaw, which is rad. It's very good. There's not many games like it. Stellaris is a neat game that works like Civilization, but in space--so it kind of makes it's own space opera as you go. Hitman games are always a fun time as well, and you don't need to stealth through em, you can play a pretty wacky Hitman run. Also, Black Mesa just came out--looks interesting, but I haven't played it.

If you want I know a good handful of JRPG's some on Steam, some on PS4, and some on Switch.
Switch:
Xenoblade Chronicles
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Fire Emblem 3H
Tales of Vesperia
Valkyria Chronicles

PS4:
Digimon Cyber Sleuth Games (Also on Steam)
Persona 5
Tales of Berseria
Tales of Zesteria

Steam:
The Trails Series games (At least six games on Steam so far with a seventh on the way)
Heartbeat
Undertale (kind of obvious)
Persona 4 Golden

These are just a handful of top recommendations for RPGs.

Try playing some flash games before it ends

I just remembered a story game that meets those requirements but the MC is a zombie/part-human smh
Other than that try World's end chapters or Epic Battle Fantasy 5, turn-based rpg type

Have you tried farming sims like Stardew Valley or the Friends of Mineral Town remake? There's some story elements in there past the, uh, vegetables. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Journey and Abzu are both beautiful games made by the same studio, with wonderful visuals and stories shown rather than told via text. Music scores from both are phenomenal.

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is another game with beautiful visuals and a great musical score.

Never Alone (Kisima Inŋitchuŋa) is beautiful and is respectfully based off of traditional Native Alaskan oral stories.

And if you're looking for a good text-only 100% story-driven game series, Heroes Rising was pretty great - and all the save data from the first through the last game carries over your choices! All the Heroes Rising games are available on PC.

-Switch Games:
Xenoblades Chronicles, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Hyrule Warriors and Hollow Knight.

-Ps4 Games:
God of War, Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy.

XD i haven't listening from PC because i don't play PC that often.

I just thought of another I enjoyed recently: Tales of Berseria. It's on Steam and has a really good story to it as well. Battle system is a bit broken tbh, but I really liked the plot and characters.

I highly highly recommend Night In the Woods. One of the best games I've ever played. It's relatable on some level to most people, and can in some cases change your perception of the world.

I've also started playing The Last Guardian, it's so beautiful... but I'm stuck already! :joy:

I'd say Kingdom Hearts but thaaat would take you a looong time to get into the series!

Sooo Final Fantasy 7 Remake! >: u shall play it!

Let me look into my steam library... I usually play indie RPGs on PC. A lot of them don't fit your criteria but these might.
- Disco Elysium. There's a lot of reading but the dnd-like game mechanic is really interesting. My current favourite game.
- Night in the Woods. Someone else mentioned this but it's a nice atmospheric casual and story-driven with memorable characters.
- OneShot. There are some puzzles but it's not complicated... I think.

I have a ton of games that might fit on my wishlist but I hesitate to recommend games I haven't played.

That game was actually the reason I got a PS4 in first place.

And hang in there, I would also get stuck all the time with the puzzles (mainly because Trico's AI as the IQ of a untrained dog and half of the the time I didn't know if they could actually not interact with the environment or if they was just being stubborn)

I already played stardew valley and I'm a year and a half deep in story of seasons. Honestly I think I prefer stradew valley, mainly because you can actually make yourself in the game.

I already saw game plays of both jorney and abzu. And they were both gorgeous!

I'll check the other ones out.

I'll check Disco Elysium later.

Honestly night in the woods hit a little too close to home...

One shot was honestly such a cute game, but it got really dark (pun intended) so fast, I loved it!

Lol! You are right. I think I've got to climb him then jump and grab a rope, but whenever I reach his head he shakes it. Doh!

They let fall to my death like three times before realizing the had to catch me, and in one of the those times, I jumped and they just turned away...
I know the developers were probably aiming for a realistic experience, but there are smart out there you?

How about Night in the Woods? It seems like something you would enjoy. Also To the Moon, and its sequel Finding Paradise, both lovely, emotional very story-driven RPG Makers and the puzzles aren't too hard to figure out iirc. To the Moon is honestly my favorite RPG Maker of all time.

There's also Cinderella Phenomenon, which is free - and a VN dating sim, haha. But the thing about it is that it's much more story-driven than a regular dating sim, in fact, two of the routes have so much plot you really don't get to romance the characters that much lmao. Give it a try if you want to.

Lisa the Painful. (Its not horror but it will make you really sad)

(Its a great game, highly recommend)

Yeah, the SoS games are the original Harvest Moon creators, and Stardew is based off of them. The creator of Stardew cited lack of customization in the old HM games as reason why his has a decent chunk more.

Have fun!

Also, whoops, just realized i wrote Heroes Rising. The name of the series i was thinking of is Heroes Rise.
