Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to illustrate a comic idea that I've had in my head for a while....?
I was hoping we could upload it to Taptasic, webtoon, and any other place you think it would fit.
This would be the first thing I've ever written, and I have no artistic talents whatsoever, but I will learn and assist in any way that I can so that we can expand upon the idea and create a story that no one will be able to put down. It'll be great. I will leave the art style mainly up to you, but I would hope I could give some slight input, but It'll probably be me geeking out about how amazing it looks. The position is currently not paid, but it will hopefully become a revenue share.

Here's the link to the story: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VwL5i-uGEXtJpb_Is-aIpiDmu0g1s2pWwJzuFkoiHqQ/edit?usp=sharing19

It is very rough BTW. Hopefully, we can edit it together. The story can go any direction we want it to. If you're interested you can reply to this post or dm me.

THANK YOU

Quick question, is this a paid job or a revenue share one?

At the moment it isn't paid, but hopefully, it will become a revenue share. I'm sorry I forgot to include that bit.

That's an important part, you should edit your post

Hello @erf321521!

I may not be here to collaborate with you as I am a writer but if your goal is turn that story into a webcomic and search for a great artist here, you need to have a "comic script".

Professionally, artists will need that from you so that they get the idea you want to portray for a comic. Scripts are there to avoid miscommunication on certain things in your story and scripts also exist for artists to stay dedicated to your collaboration. Otherwise, you'll have the artist quit before s/he starts drawing.

Also, you're kinda new in the forums so try to be more transparent or active here. Do keep this Introductions for you4 thread alive by saying hi here.

Good luck in your creative endeavors and welcome!

You may have no artistic talents or whatevs but it's important for you to increase what you should know about webcomics like jargons of CU and establishing shot view. This shows that you're being evidently involved into the creation. I guess you can call it a certain establishment of trust.

Thank you so much!!! I will be sure to look up everything so that I can be informed.

Sure thing!

Take note: the process of preparing a webcomic must be practical or realistic. It may be daunting for your new script but do enjoy the work you're making.

Happy writing!
