Hello, I've recently started a new web comic and wanted some people's opinions on it. I'm still experimenting with formatting the panels.

If I may ask, what did you use to draw and color this series?

I used Medibang Paint, it's similar to photoshop.

Your use of colours is very nice, I like the effects you're using. You're not shying away from drawing backgrounds, which many of us love to do, so that's fantastic. Same with hands, feet, side profiles, you're clearly taking the time to do the parts of drawing people don't like. Your story sounds interesting and like it will be very good once you post more pages.

Things to improve;

• Make sure your text is clearly readable , so don't do white text on a
  background that involves white. It's readable, but the white in the
  background makes it harder to read.

• Speech bubbles, centre your text (both the actual text and in the
  bubble) and try to not have black text touching a black background
  for same reasons as before.

• If any of your art gets out of panels, just delete it, it makes it
  look cleaner. If you want to avoid drawing outside the bubble, just
  select the panel before you start drawing.

Tip: Look for fonts that are easy to read and try and find out fonts used in popular comics. The more readable the font, the more people can enjoy your comic.

I have subscribed so I'll be following the story, I'm interested to see how it goes.

Well, I'm a creator too, so I know how it feels when you post something (on which you worked for hours on end) and it looks like as if no one gives a damn lol.

Anyway, I took a look. I won't comment on your art, not because it's bad, but because you'll improve with each page as long as you keep drawing your comic. So yeah, art wise, keep drawing, you'll definitely improve and the overall look of your pages will start getting refined too. So yeah, keep those artistic hands moving!

Coming to the main point: readability. This is very important. Now in your prologue, the part where 'soul shards' is written, the text there seems to be blending in with the background. I understand that since the text is in white, so even if you 'bold' it, it will still kinda merge with the bright background. What you can do to rectify that is make the text black, but put a white outline (thickness of the outline depends on your preference) to the text...that will make it perfectly readable.

Another, last thing you can do is decrease the size of your font, at some instances it was breaking past your balloon borders.

I can't yet comment on the story yet, because of the obvious reason of not much pages being there. I've subscribed though, so I want to see how you improve in the upcoming pages.

Btw, you do work on layers right? Cuz if you do, I don't see why you can't just delete the colors going past panel borders in a matter of seconds.

I really like the idea behind your web comic.

For the critics I agrees with the points N6023 and MarineHaddock highlighted. Also try to pay attention to dialogues mistakes( I struggle wit it too so you'r not alone).

Your art is really cute. As other people have noted your lettering leaves a lot to be desired. It's an easy thing to overlook. People are gonna start thinking I'm a shill because I already put a link to this in the last hour but you should check out www.blambot.com. They have lots of cool comic fonts for free.
