Has anyone ever tried that on this or other hosting sites?

By "multiple titles" I mean like how back in the old Golden Age comics, each comic had multiple different stories e.g. Action Comics #1 not only had the first appearance of Superman, but also Zatara the Magician, a boxing story, a western etc. The old Tales from the Crypt comics had multiple horror titles per issue.

Something that's probably more well known nowadays would be manga magazines like Shonen Jump having multiple titles.

Anyway, would that work? My current series, The Skyman, is a weekly comic strip, and although I try to make each installment stand on its own, I am also aware that 6 to 7 panels a week isn't the most satisfying read for my subscribers.

So essentially, would it be worth the effort to add other titles to each installment?

I originally entitled this "Anthology Series" but I want to make sure everyone knew what I meant.

I doubt it would work well online. I have seen some websites that publish anthologies through Patreon or their site directly. They get a collection of comics, either 1 ch only or a short series, and release the group of 10 or so every few months.

It's also a way people collab in the AANI (artist alley network international) that I've seen from time to time - they band together to create short comics for the book, and each artist gets the right to sell several of the books, and somehow profits are divided across the group. I'm sure there's a lot of fine print in the contracts.

could you just title each episode the intended title?

or run them all under the banner of a single comic...like Tales From the Crypt

So the title of the series - Tales From the Crypt, run the cover page before each tale, then the story title...?

Not quite like this. More like if each weekly installment had multiple different stories.

Like if the series was called "Actionsplosion!" and the first story was called Action Man, the second story was called Mr. Action, the third Lady Action, etc. All different stories.

What you're talking about would require a lot of labor under an extreme deadline. Those books were usually produced by whole studios or a small army or freelancers.

I love that era of books and I wish there was a market for that kind of book now.

We try to recreate that feel in our groups anthology but there no way we could do multiple stories a week.

Depends on your style. I do 6 to 7 panel comic strips. I think it's doable with my style........ potentially.

Hey I have sort of the same idea. I'd say just go for it.

have you heard of Corey Lewis's "Sun Bakery"

It's a print comic, but he has multiple short stories running in each issue, all done by him.
