My First Time Doing Lines and Colors

This took me roughly 3 hours. I used a sketch that @sorible gifted to me a long time ago. Please tell me what you all think. Technically with only two months of experience, I know I have a LONG way to go. But I don't think I did too bad.

Can I ask you some questions to preface?
What specifically are you looking for feedback on? Color choice/palette? Line work?
And with link work, are you going for clean lines? Thin lines? Thick lines? Weighted lines? Lines that taper?
Also, do you have any example artwork that inspire you or that you strive to be similar to? And can you show those examples here?

I think it looks good. If anything, I'd say your issue is how long this took you, though I think even that's normal if you've only picked up a tablet pen 2 months ago.

Upon closer examination, your lines don't seem to be one continuous stroke, but rather multiple lines carefully crafted to resemble a single, tapering line. I used to draw lines like this as well, and it's probably the reason you took so long. I suggest getting into the habit of using one line (deleting it with ctrl+z and try again when you don't get it right instead of keeping it and trying to make it look better by adding more lines) to build your line confidence. Doing lineart with one continuous stroke is hard at first, especially if you have to worry about controlling line weight, but in the long run it will make you a lot faster if you learn how to do it :]

Definitely looks good for a first attempt. I agree with @TheLemmaLlama about the lines. If you're having trouble keeping them smooth, I'd suggest turning the stabilization up. It can really make a difference!

What program are you using?

Realistically anything. I know I have to improve on everything. But if I had to choose one specific thing to get advice on is Shading. I didn't attempt it in this specific piece, but I would like to know more about it in general.

One artstyle that I really admire is the work of JUDER/JUDERLAND. They are the artists behind the Webtoon "Jungle Juice".

Nice work! I see you've attempted a bit of shading as well. I don't know much about JUDER's style of shading, but I guess a good place to start in general is to work in greyscale and just play around with shading with a dark shade of grey until it looks right. Maybe pull up some references too; I personally recommend pictures with bold shading like harshly lit photos or cel-shaded anime, because it's easier to tell where the shadows land. Though I acknowledge that's not really the style you're going for; it's just easier to study for general knowledge imo

This will be my last time pinging you lol. But I realized that the only part of the drawing process that I enjoy is coloring. It's very fun and relaxing. I watched a bunch of tutorials and did a bunch of research but this is my first attempt at putting what I learned to use. This piece took 2 hours 40 minutes.

Edit: I forgot to mention that using greyscale to practice was very helpful as well. But I used a physical coloring book to do that.

I took the line art off of google images. Reverse image search gave me too many results to tell who is the original artist.
