So a little about me. I've been awake today since the stars were out, and work at a printer that does many different things. Am 33 and have been trying to practice the comic craft for about a year now and love to learn.

Hi squirrel,

It's 7am where I live and I just forces myself to Wake up. In couple hours there's two workshops I will run at the art museum, so I'm getting excited about that. I'm in my twenties and got one and half years left in my masters studies, these workshops are one of the interships I have to do for them.

On my spare time I've been making Numb ( https://tapastic.com/episode/492430 ). It's horror/mystery/drama that will be my main project for the next few years.

How's your journey with comics going so far? : )

Hi. I wake up most days while the stars are still out. Mostly due to a sleeping issue.

It lets me start work early on my comic though. Kid and wife are still asleep so it's a good time.

its nearly midday here and i only just woke up; its school break. im a student studying technical theatre, yknow like set and sound and lighting - it overlaps a surprising amount w comic making which is really cool. im my spare time (like, all of it) i work on my comic There Was a War, about a war (duh) between monsters and humans, and two young women who get caught in between.

do you have a comic on here yet, or are you working on one?

Firstly, let me say that my daughter's nickname is Squirrel so your screen name made me smile this morning.

I've been in my cubicle at my most current job since a little before 6am this morning and am (as usual) daydreaming about the next episode of my comic ( if you'd like to see it it is Who is The Girl ) .

I'm in my mid forties (what a horrible thought) and I started my art career as a cartoonist for Penthouse Comix back in the early 90s. I still love using sequential art as a unique form of storytelling.

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day and that the stars preceded a gorgeous sunny day.

I have to wake up at 6 in the morning to catch the school bus that goes at 7, and considering it's winter soon, there were still stars out when I woke up.

I'm Emma! I'm 16 years old and I make the comic called Friends or Lovers?, which is a shoujo-influenced romance comic. If I'm not creating my comic, I'm playing piano and organ, or League of Legends. You'll also catch me on the forums quite frequently!

Since everyone is talking about their morning routines: I try to wake up early, but it's really hard. My wife (and colorist of our comic) is the one responsible to make coffe and force me out of bed. We're 27 years old.

We're creating Children of the Moon. It's a story about cats (who doens't like cats?) with a horror twist.

Ah! So are the workshops about the master studies themselves? That sounds so cool! Numb seems pretty cool, and I love the style of art!

Oh! so far it's been a wonderful learning process as there's been so much and it's been so fun!

I keep my current long-run one pretty public, though it changes alot as I learn new things and I've been pretty casual about it. It's a good documentation of progress and what was going on in my life to effect the pages.

Let me say that I really love the style of your comic. The... abstract? bits still flow so nicely into the story and stay fully readable while being such an adding element.

Theater sounds like a blast! The tech side of it has always been pretty awe-inspiring.

Ah, cubicle life! Hopefully it's a nice one where you can see outside and you've got plenty of coffee or tea.

Any age is a good age to be into comics, and mid forties is a great one. Sequential art is an amazing form of storytelling and I'm so absolutely in love forever with all of the things it can do and the the absolute variety of it!

Really like the texture and flow of your comic! Will be trying to read up more on everyone's after some caffeine, though may head back to bed shortly. It's 7am, my only day off, and planning to spend it working on the comic and art. Hope your work day is going great!

Ah, hi Squirrel! Nice to meet you, I hope to see you around the forum a good bit now!! (And a printer? What do you print? Books? Cards? Whatever people ask you to?)

I'm Chloe! The stars are always out when I wake up because I hate sleeping a lot. (There are so many great things to do! Why would I want to spend my time unconscious??) I also need to wake up early because I teach high school biology at a co-op and am currently doing prerecs for applying to various and sundry medical programs, which means I always have a lot of grading and homework to do.

In my spare time (read: when I'm procrastinating) I make a coming-of-age comic about a student vampire hunter babysitting a werewolf over summer vacation and getting into a heckload of trouble. It's called Crow Summer and it's my loooooooove.

Hahaha - usually it's too cold to go out looking at stars. But the sleep thing doesn't really bother me too much these days. It's probably not healthy, but you learn to live with it you know?

Aetherwar? Lol inspired by a board game I tried to design. Originally, it was with my friend. He had different kinds of magic wielders duelling with one another. But that project died out and a couple years after I tried making my own board game. I think I shall go back to the board game one day. Anyhoo, the board game gave rise to some interesting characters and a world all of its own. A couple more years later and here we are.

I've been trying to produce a long form comic for ages. I thought Aetherwar was one of the better stories I'd written and some of my best characters so far, so I went with it. Glad you find it interesting.

You're right about your comic! You can certainly track the artistic changes from first page to last. What inspired yours?
