“Hey.” Someone grabs my arm, taking me back to reality “Are you lost?” a deep voice gets right through me, that Asian accent that makes my insides shake for an instant. I smile instantly feeling at home for a second, then fear takes the best of me and I turn abruptly to discover, gladly, that I have never met him in my whole life.

“Oh.” I sigh as my gaze lays on his hand, still around my arm. He removes it, clearly understanding my little distress, finding myself thanking him silently with my eyes for giving me space.

“Yeah, I am looking for the room G506? I think it should be around here as this is the last floor I've not checked-” I mumble, unable to find the right words like from a moment to another I can’t speak English anymore. What the hell, I am able to do this, why am I always ruining everything?undefined> “The tutor asked me to look up for you, she thought you were lost...like a puppy.” laughing tenderly and composedly he examines me from head to toe before continuing, his eyes glistening for some unknown reason “You are in the same course as me, Chin Mae.” He adds smiling after reading my name on my collar badge. Making his way along the glass wall corridor he then stops and waves at me, inviting me to follow him back to the class he came from. Why is he so... shiny?

Urie Loeth was a boy living in the city of Daerin. Eager to learn magic in order to help his father, he participated in the city's annual Harvest Festival, a gathering conducted to awaken magic in children. His hopes were dashed however when he learnt that he couldn't awaken his magic.

Meanwhile, Celeste Varethe was a girl living in the perpetually dark city of Daerin. Awaiting her father's presence on her birthday, she narrowly missed his brief appearance and ran after his silhouette, only to feel confused at being suddenly pushed away.

Their unexpected meeting, brought about by fate, set off a series of events that would bring motion to the once stagnant Land of Erden.

Mine's a fantasy/romance novel with an angel female lead and a shifter male lead. It's still in progress at the moment (and I won't lie; the thumbnail and book cover are terrible but they were the limit of my artistic skills).

My first paragraph:
After waking up in a cold sweat again, my eyes darting around the room looking for a danger that hadn’t been there for almost a year, I tried to force my heart to calm. Unsuccessful and feeling like the walls of my bedroom were forcing themselves closer on me, I decided to make a quick dash for my bathroom, barely sparing a glance to my surroundings to answer the endless need to feel clean once again. Throwing the lock to the door closed and turning the light on, I pressed my back against the door - pinning my wings in the process - and stared at the image in the mirror.
