Karana | Tapas

Genre: Low-Fantasy, Supernatural, Drama.

A 13-years old earthquake survivor boy Kôra Halin encountered strange phenomenons after he moved to the city with his uncle; his food was spoiled, his uncle acted strange, and there was someone else inside the mirror. That particular entity said that Kôra is the same with him: he was already dead.

(It sounded like a decent ghost story isn't it? Surprise,it's goddamn not! Please don't expect anything when you read it except confusions! If my story was really good it would have been on the front page )

Now, to the questions!

1. I'm not particularly attached to any characters, and as a writer I think I should not. My characters are pieces of shit to be honest.

2. I don't remember anymore , but one sure thing is this project was born as a continuous revamp of an old project with the same name when I was 12. I still have the oldest plot of it, and when you compared it with the new it's hard to believe it was the same story. Anyway, I'm not the kind of person who will take an inspiration wholely and pour it as it is to the story.

3. I currently paused my reading activity because I am quite busy (but not busy enough to still spew shit in the forum). In fact there are novels I have not read fully and left to dust in my collection because I simply forgot
   What I recently read is "Hope Spring Eternal" by Phinality, and "Human 83013114C" by Bijou Paradise (I will add clickable link once on desktop).

Blood Moon | Tapas

An abused werewolf gets in a horrible car crash which begins to awaken strange powers which attracts the attention of a world of the supernatural which the packs never knew existed. It focuses a lot on the main character's growth, how he becomes stronger through the relationships he builds in order to protect the people he loves- and eventually changes the world because of it.

1. I'm super duper attached to the main character, Tsuki. He's a super sweet, vulnerable character and I just want to hug him until he feels better. I put him through a lot, but all for the sake of plot...

2. Honestly- I was super pissed off at the omegaverse genre. I hate how it makes the omegas basically sex toys and the alphas are mindless carnal fiends. I think it gives a bad name to LGBT relationships. I wanted to do the omegaverse thing, but in a new fresh take which is (hopefully) a lot less cliche, and doesn't glorify abuse as something romantic. Also started on wattpad as was super sick of alpha/omega/fated mate stories there. It was supposed to be a funny, lighthearted parody, but um... it grew into a plot lol

3. I haven't read a TON of novels on Tapas because I can barely manage to write at this point with some personal issues, but I really want to read 'Petals of Fate' because it seems super interesting!

I have a few novels on Tapas but What Lies Within is the first novel I ever started many years ago before I stopped writing for a few years.

What Lies Within | Tapas

WLW is set in a world where humans and spirits live in delicate peace. Lucella works for an underground organization of the government that is designed to clean up any messes that might upset the peace between the two sides. However, the spirit inside Lucella is particularly nasty. It feeds on emotions and had been known to create wards to get a meal. With this spirit now sealed in Lucella, it constantly tries to break her mind and spirit to take over her body and once again wreak havoc. The overall theme is the demons we all have to deal with daily and how, at times, they threaten to destroy us.

Ok questions!

1. I am most attached to Lucella, in part because she is the first OC I ever created. Thought back in the day she was a pyro with a worse attitude than what she has now Through her faults, Lucella is strong and true to herself even if she's called a monster. She always gets back up when she's knocked down.

2. I don't remember what triggered Lucella entirely, thought Hell Boy did inspire her powers at the time. Once I came back to the story, I drastically changed her powers and the world in which the story occurs

3. THIS IS SO HARD! There are so many stories I could pick, but I'm going to go with the one I was reading before I started answering this. Inheritance has an interesting world that's packed full of emotion with twists and turns along the way.

The Vast Existence | Tapas

My main character's name is a Materian named Nebula. She was a peace-loving normal child who was raised like a normal kid by her parents. Unfortunately, her mother and father divorced one day because the father was caught cheating by the mother. As soon as they divorced, Nebula and her mother packed up everything and started to walk towards the exit of their town, until they meet a black haired clown named Havik. A monster who he and his master, White Flame, already knew of Nebula's existence. They invade and attack Nebula's hometown by unleashing an army of monsters. As the town was being destroyed, Havik chases Nebula and her mom down, only for Nebula's father to come to the rescue. They end up being even, but Havik unleashes his ability to manipulate time and kills both of Nebula's parents. White Flame sapres Nebula because of a certain enemy he wants to fight one day. Nebula falls unconcious after they leave and is then picked up by the mother of all Materians, Materia.

1. There are many characters in my story that I'm planning to reveal. However I like to be in the range between Nebula and Havik. Mainly because their rivalry as sheer enemies are going to expand upon the story of mine into something more complex.

2. Half of the things I have planned in my story are because of stupid things xD. So you could say that the reason why I came up with my story is because I watched a lot of anime and played a lot of video games to give my story a try. Another stupid thing in my story is that Havik (one of the main villains) in my story has the personality of Dragon Ball's Frieza and has a few resemblances. Some of the things in this story I make are for stupid reasons, but they can work. It's just up to the reader's opinion.

3. I haven't really read other novels on Tapas. I'm reading a few webcomics, but I can't say I have a true favorite as of this question being answered.

My genres are all over the place with Mostly Human . Bear in mind that I wrote this premise ages ago on a different site and I'm only just now revamping it.

Mostly Human | Tapas

It's a comedy-parodyish/adventure and at points, it's a whole book dedicated to poking fun at myself.

Yandel Ramirez is both a college freshman with a giant ego and a werewolf holding a deep vendetta against paranormal romance writers. His life is pretty much smooth sailing, up until his father proposes a Reveal bill to the supernatural government and gets kidnapped for it.

1. Marcel Robinson. Yandel's best friend. He's a vampire who hates the taste of blood and wishes his ex-girlfriend would delete the photo of their middle school Halloween party where he glued glitter onto his face. I love him because he's nothing like the vampires I used to love reading about.

2. Lot's of videos on youtube helped change my mind about things like mates, unlimited magic, and vampire lore. One day I had a dream about a frustrated werewolf who asked me why he couldn't be into politics, and it shook me. MH was then born in 2012.

3. I've just begun to expand my library. I found Secunda by @joannekwan and I love it!

Genre: High Fantasy

1. Considering the main character is you, obviously would love yourself, other than that, i have not introduced many characters to the story yet.
2. Basically its all the crazy Dungeons and Dragons games I had played in the past that gave me ideas as well as flow to my story.
3. I have not read much on Tapas yet but am eager to do so the moment i find time after writing.

A Trillion Years: Rebirth | Tapas

My characters Xander and Aurora are hated by the world because of their snowy-white hair and crimson-red eyes. Anyone who's born with those traits is considered to be part of the "Cursed Generation", mostly children can only be found and the majority of them don't survive to adulthood. A Trillion Years: Rebirth focuses on these two characters as they grow and explore the larger world around them, while at the same time, try to change its future. It's Book 1 of a 17-book saga and ATY: R is part of a larger connected universe where all of my stories take place in. This story will resonate with the future of all of my works. So, "Everything began with them."

Question time!

1. I am super attached to my characters, but I like the dynamic between Xander and Ren. Their personalities are the complete opposite from each other, which is perfect for some natural rivalry conflict between them. however, just because I'm attached to my characters, doesn't mean I won't hesitate to kill someone off when necessary or make them suffer. ;D

2. The first thing that gave me the initial idea was listening to a Vocaloid song called Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story. That influenced the initial concept of Xander and Aurora meeting for the first time in some way. After that, I just kept building up and up on it until I got a story. There are other influences too, but that song started everything.

3. I haven’t started reading a novel here on Tapas yet due to putting my time into college, but I’ve been reading some webcomics in my spare time and keep up with series like ZombieOwl’s Wing Chun Chips and Chita’s Burning Shadows. I hope that once my semester breaks come around, I’ll be able to spend time to read through some novels.

1.Which of your characters are you most attached to and why?
-> I think it has to be Mark, the MC. He is totally different from all stereotypical characters. He is not 'beautiful' or 'handsome', but has a lot of self esteem, which is not very useful.

2.Do you remember what triggered/influenced you to come up with your story?
-> Random midnight thoughts. For the first time, being nocturnal actually helped.

3.Which novel on Tapas, other than your own, did you really enjoy?
->It has to be Cramoisi Baigne by Ashwin S.D byss. It is so dark and disturbing that I love it.

Alone in the Night | Tapas

When Em goes to look for her dog at night, she encounters a wolf that attacks her and sends her to hospital. One very sickly month later she encounters the wolf again, finding out that the wolf, and now she as well, are werewolves. Em ends up living with Remy and they learn to know each other better and become friends. And other feelings develop as well.

1. I'm a bit torn between Remy who is a nice guy at heart but has experienced quite a lot which makes him a bit reserved and cautious. But he's such an adorable bean. My other favourite was born pretty much by accident. He's Remy's best friend called Carter. Carter is the happy-go-lucky guy who always tries to lighten the mood but is also a very good and reliable friend. And he fully ships Em and Remy so...
2. I've been playing with this kind of idea where girl is attacked by a wolf and encounters them again for a while but this story started to form after I remembered a song that says "When walking alone in the night, you might meet one of your kind. And for a moment, the path is light to walk together". That part and the whole song inspired me a lot with this story.
3. I don't really read novels on Tapas that much (which I aim to fix at some point) but from what I've read, Penni's novels, Fox Trap and What Lies Within are really nice.

Detective Docherty and the Demon's Tears | Tapas

1. Which of your characters are you most attached to and why? I have often heard that people speak of their "problem child" more because that's the child they worry about and the one they have to put more of their energy into and support. While each of my characters are truly exaggerated parts of myself, my vampire Ares is my problem child and the one I worry about the most. My attachment to him stems from my need for him to grow and be better than he was when he started.

2. Do you remember what triggered/influenced you to come up with your story? Honestly, I was shoveling horse manure on my parent's farm when I started day dreaming about a vampire and a detective having a conversation in an office. I have no explanation for this.

3. Which novel on Tapas, other than your own, did you really enjoy? Ravenous by Daniel Alexander, though it's not finished. He stopped updating while he does some minor rewrites and it's killing me because he left the story on such a cliff hangar! D:
