My hobbies are varied: Hunting, fishing, reading, writing, drawing, cars, and anything mechanical.
My talents: I am very mechanically inclined. I fix European cars for a living (mainly Audi, BMW, Benz, Jaguar, Landrover, Volvo, and Volkswagen but also occasionally Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and the like). When young I wanted to be an engineer, but unfortunately fiscal realities prevented me from going to university. I have an engineer's mind though - I can take things apart, figure out what's wrong with them (and why they broke), and put them back together again with ease because I know how stuff works, and I can look at a structure and see the strengths/weaknesses/load paths, et cetera.
My way of going through life is this: If something needs to be done and I know how to do it, I will do it. If I don't know how to do it I will figure it out, and then I will do it. Essentially the only thing that will prevent me from doing a job myself is not having the equipment, and even then if the equipment costs less than it would be to pay somebody to do the job, I will buy the equipment, learn how to use it, and do the job. Because of this I have a LOT of tools and equipment. Everything from mechanic tools to a full set of woodworking equipment to a cement mixer to a backhoe to a loader tractor.
