This is my favorite bit of dialogue in the most recent update haha. I really love Flora and her cousin and I especially like writing parts from Flora's POV!

“Ah, you’re right. I nearly forgot you played for the other team,” she looped her arm with Flora’s. “That mean we’re gonna try and find you a cute witch girlfriend then? Someone from the quarter perhaps? Or maybe you’ve got your eye on someone back at school?” She started to pry and Flora rolled her eyes with a laugh.

8 days later

“Rick… get me some coffee and dial down on the caffeine and cream. I don’t want the extra energy, otherwise, I’d end up bashing this guy’s face in.”

M'Tanz quietly growled with disgust at the sight of a human baby.

Let's recruit the alien bad guy onto a team of humans. What could go wrong. That's coming up in Season 2.

After a long beat of silence, he pointed a finger at you, his hand forming the shape of a gun. “If you’re a Self-Aware, how do I know you’re not just pretending to be Ty? You could have evolved far enough for that to happen.”

The other her stood there, in the same rags, staring determinedly at her.

“K-kain,” the single word tangled King’s tongue.

Stellar met with Lashina near a towering scaffold that encased the silhouette of destruction.

For now, in Lily's world, kissing was still labeled as "yuck".

My heart was pounding as the abhorrent beast stood above me.

From my reluctant protagonist:

"I’ve been down similar roads before, you see. You always lose something of yourself on the journey, even if everything seems fine in the end. Who I am is all I have anymore, so no, I wouldn’t join the team. I’m happy enough where I am.”

The word enough seemed to weigh heavier than the others.

I lowered my head and squeezed my fingers, my brother might have been the favorite but it came at a cost. In a way I was lucky not to have had our father's attention.

"You don't buy a three-bedroom house if you plan to move across the country months later."

"Eh!"
