First new drawing in weeks (been an absolutely hectic month). Image #41 for Finding Daecon's Way. Daecon has just assumed his position as king and has gone down to the dungeon to pass judgement on his father. On the way he meets a young guard who, upon hearing about his new king, drops to one knee.

Daecon does not know how to react to this.

Rough inking and colouring done, and I've even got a start on the background.

I'd like some opinions on the design of this scenario, is suposed to be like a shadow or twilight realm, the spots on the top are the portals to the normal realm, it kinda works like an ocean where there more weird things at the bottom.
Since it can only be accesed through shadows, the dark pudles is where there are shadows in the normal realm.
The light that's falling is from the actual light from the normal realm, which is falling and dissolving while falling deeper into the realm.

Any opinion on the matter is well recieved. color gradients, details, the whole concept itself, anyhting.

That scene looks terrifying, and I worry for Larry, but I know he’s a brave little bugger and will have this. The lighting and shadows are excellent

I finished inking my latest chapter so I'll be drawing some other stuff for a few days. This is the one I´m doing now and the reference I used for the sketch!

If there's an award for most In Progress for a Work In Progress then I may win it.

Finishing colors on a piece from late July(paused on it to work on a direct pay logo/design gig)
