Hello! @kinleypavone I read your comic and I think it was awesome.
First of all the art was awesome. The backgrounds were drawn very neat and detailed like the buildings, floor and the walls etc that it looked almost real to me.

Then then action scenes were thrilling keeping the reader interested in every movement of the character and also again very detailed but without actually breaking the flow of the scene.

The colors used in the whole comic are very good and I like the colors you choose for the main characters powers because not only they show the characters powers but also a hint of their personality like a fiery blue color for Kinley's fiery personality and black for Yuriah's calm and strong personality.

I loved the concept of the comic like fighting against the discrimination and standing up for yourself( I was really angry when they tried to cut kinley's antenna).

And now some cute stuff .The fight between Kinley and Yuriah was really cute and funny and the gifs were also very very cute.
I like your comic and I have subscribed since now I am really looking forward to the next episodes and to know who is sydney

This is my comic I am also always looking for reviews so I can improve my comic in any way possible so please do check my comic out and review as well :grinning:

Thank you so much for giving mine a read! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I get what you mean, I too enjoy movies/media that talk about real social issues and moral lessons(just thinly veiled with some fictional elements to make it more entertaining and palatable) so that's what I hope to do in mine as well. ^-^ That also means a lot to hear that you're finding the characters believable, I try really hard to make them feel really grounded and genuine! The criticism about the action lines is fair, someone else actually said that too. I was a bit too heavy with it looking back now. Thanks again for taking the time to read mine and give such nice feedback!

I wasn't sure from your response if you were looking for critique at all but I'm not sure that it would have mattered either way since 1) there's so little pages so far and 2) I don't see anything worth criticizing. All and all I found yours to be a pleasant read so far! Very easy to read/understand/nice art/ very interesting premise, etc. I did make sure to leave likes on everything and give you a sub to stay updated on where your story goes! Great work!

Thank you so much, you're so incredibly kind! I'm so happy to see that you're enjoying the art/characters/themes and such! I worked on this series for over a year before posting it so I struggled with a lot of self doubt but your reaction to it really makes me feel like my work is paying off/ the stuff I want to come across is landing. ^-^

I just went and checked your series out(I liked everything on both platforms so hopefully that helps!). I like the wholesome anime vibe yours is giving off, it's very cute! Easy to read and understand too! I definitely enjoyed your concept of the bed ghost, that was funny. Art for slice of life comics is hard to critique since usually simple is better and landing the jokes/being relatable is the most important part(which I think you're doing well). I can say that the lighter, more pastel palette you are using is definitely working in your favor though, it contributes to the light, wholesome theme well. Only downside might be that your lineart style seems to change a lot(color of lines, solid vs broken line, and thickness). So it might help to pick and lane and stick with it in a way that feels more intentional and deliberate but that's a nit pick really. Overall, nice work!

Sure thing! Gonna read yours and reply back, feedback appreciated!

edit: this is awesome! your art style is great and your sense of motion is on point! I like that we have the similarity in our comics of a separate human species with supernatural abilities. Your opening chapter reminds me of mine in a lot of ways. I tossed you a sub, looking forward to reading more!

You'r welcome  and thank you so much for the such a kind review, likes and sub I really appreciate it.
I'm enjoying your comic and really amazed at how well you draw because as you've seen my comic I'm not good at drawing and always struggling as well.
I worked on my comic for about 5 months prior to posting it anywhere and was in constant self doubt that it wasn't good enough but your review really cheered me up now and I think I can keep working on it keep trying to make it better so thanks once again

I read the whole thing, it has great art and interesting plot. The only critic I have is that it I want more episodes :stuck_out_tongue:
Subscribed. Here's my webcomic for anyone interested. (Webtoon and Tapas links)

Thank you for giving it a read and subbing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I just gave yours a read/liked all the episodes! Nice work! I suppose our first chapters/genres are similar in some ways! I'm not familiar with the source material you reference in the beginning so is this your retelling of the story from a series of playstation games? So is it like a fan fiction sort of thing then? Either way it's pretty neat! I like your three main characters and enjoyed the jokes you worked in!

Thank you for giving it a read! Lol, of all the criticisms to have, that's definitely a good one! I'd definitely be doing weekly updates if I could, these pages just take way too long ^-^'

I just checked yours out and left likes on both platforms! Nice work, the art is good and you're doing a great job on pacing, the character designs have good variety, and it's clear and easy to read! Keep it up! I'm interested to see where the story goes.

Thanks for the feedback! To answer your question, sort-of! The source material is a game I made back in 2002ish, so it's a retelling of a story I came up with when I was 13 (and it made no sense, because I was 13). I revamped the story quite a bit and moved it over to comic book format. Glad you liked it!

We already read each others' but I like that you do this  Still enjoying your comic. Good update this week  Mine goes up on Monday

Posting mine here for others to see though

Woah, your comic is so cool, the action is well made, i like your style and the backgrounds are awesome too. I couldn't stop reading, what i saw about the script is great too, the twists of that first fight are satisfying to see.

Anyway, here is my comic, i hope you enjoy it ^^
(sorry if my english is bad, english is not my native language)

Dude, that's extra awesome then! Good for you! I actually made my story when I was that age too(it's obviously been updated and aged up since then as well). Best of luck to ya and I'm interested to see where the story goes!

Yep, already subbed and liked all yours! Hopefully you'll get some more from this thread that will do the same! And thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my update, looking forward to seeing yours as well!

Hello! I've just finished reading your webtoon, you earned a subscriber because I'm curious about what will happen next lol. Making people want to learn more about the "rules" of your universe and its species is clearly something you do right, as you have a bunch of subscribers and patrons. Seeing oppressed individuals stand up to trash and winning is something satisfying to see lol. The style somehow reminded me of Saga, if you've heard of that comic book series, and the backgrounds remind me of classic dark, action novels- Batman, Joker etc. It looks professional.

Now,to add the bad, the white stream lines used to show the action seemed overused, panel after panel, sometimes even seeming to cover the characters too much. Alternating with other ways to convey movement would be better in my eyes, maybe just relying on the direction of bodies, hair, and her blue power one panel then using lines the next. That is just nitpicking, frankly. The episodes are long enough, I think on LINE Webtoon to get featured 'n stuff they want creators that update every week, but that is hard alone and especially if you don't use unedited 3D backgrounds.

Also, I frankly think you should ignore opinions you don't like, sometimes doing what the audience wants should be less important than you having fun, for the sake of your mind, otherwise you won't want to go forward if you think you have no creative freedom anymore  I'm saying this because I'm a beginner and I don't know why I am giving feedback to someone clearly more experienced lol

If you wanna check what I did, here's the link:

I suggest the last episodes, I'm not proud of the first ones anymore lol

Thank you so much for your review. I definitely will work more on improving my art skills. You mention liking all my episodes but It didn't show up. It might be a glitch or something. Having said that, I really appreciate the time you took to read my comic and give valuable feedback.

My comic is also a vertical scroll format comic, so Ill give you some advice that was also given to me.

Your panels need a lot more space between them. (I also struggled with this) Some can be closer than others depending on the pacing but the comic right now feels really rushed. I was told that the rule of thumb was to put a space equal to the size of the next panel for standard pacing.

I think the action lines would be less distracting if your panels were more evenly spaced, so Im not sure if I agree with others who said they were over done. (I like action lines myself 🤷‍♀️)

The scene is dark and at night but your gutters are white. It actually makes it hard for my eyes to focus on the panels due to the contrast. I suggest playing with the gutters and making them a darker color (or just black) to see how that effects the scene. I've seen people do night skies, fades, clouds or flat colors. Something kinda interesting about vertical comics to think about.

I really like the story. Its easy to follow, sets up the characters well and even the "generic bad guys" aren't boring. The panels are easy to follow and the action is excellent and to the point. The backgrounds and art are very nice, some of the nicest art I've seen in canvas. I like the very different set of powers the siblings have. Super cool!

I'd love to get some feedback on my own webtoon (its also on tapas if thats easier) if you are interested :grinning:.

Okay, I just read all five episodes you have so far for Tenacity. First of all, your art is absolutely fantastic! I love the detail on your backgrounds, I love your usage of speedlines, and I love your character designs.

As such, I liked all your episodes :DD I also subscribed and am definitely looking forward to your next update. I also left a comment on the latest episode.

Being a Superhero Canvas Creator myself, I enjoyed your fight scene the most. I like the way you drew the panels, and had the characters acting out the fight properly! I did think that for some of the panels, you could have gone for more dramatic angles, but that's a personal preference of mine.

I am also super curious on what Nats are, how mutations work in your story's universe, and who the characters they mentioned are. You did a great job setting up the lore and I can't wait for the next episode!

My comic is called The Remarkable Rabbit Boy on Webtoons. It recently got Number 1 in the Superhero category of Canvas Top 30, and as a result got itself bombed with a bunch of random 1 star ratings. I'd appreciate it if you could give it a read, see what you think I can improve, and maybe subscribe and rate. Only if you want to though, no pressure

Cheers!! You have a great comic, and I'm not just saying that to be nice. I'm really happy I got to read it!

I read and subbed your series! I really enjoyed it! The art is absolutely gorgeous; I could easily see picking your comic up at an actual comic shop. I can't wait to see more. I really enjoy your characters  The fight scenes are very cool and their powers are interesting!

Here's mine! It's the adventures of shape shifter siblings Mae and Dante  It's got a slow following start so far, but hey progress is progress!
