I thought it might be interesting to show off the first page of your reboot vs the original. It almost makes me cry looking back at my original comic and just...how little detail there is, hell I thought I barely drew detail now! Anyway feel free to post yours, I'd love to see them. smile
Here's my original first page:

And my rebooted first page:

Ok ok
I've reebooted one of my comics 2 times, it was a mess to begin with and WAAAAY too weirdly big and all that.
(I wanted 4 separate comics to be intertwined and become one at the end, an idea I still want to do someday but maybe when I'm like 70 xD)

ANYWAY, so the comic started off as Phantom Vestigium and as Pumpkinseeds (which is NSFW).
(Phantom Vestigium)

(Pumpkinseeds)

Just a year ago, I re-hauled everything changed a few details and SUDDENLY, it all fit into what I had originally wanted it to.
It became Heritage1

Btw, I LOVE your soft colours, and it looks really interesting too so I subscribed to it! :D

Oh man.

original. Who knows what page this is, it's one of the two ones I've saved for cringe purposes.

aand one of the latest from reboot. Features the same characters stuck_out_tongue

hooo boy. well i didn't actually keep most of the original comic, which i do sort of regret.

Okay I will throw up from this but... I did reboot The Key to Reality, with the new title Ghost Play. That is after I already redrew the first three chapters and decided it was still trash and needed a full reboot

But here's a random example from the original first three chapters:

And then this is from the reboot:

Didn't go for first page in either example because I spent a ridiculous amount of hours on the first page of the original which kind of masked how shit my art was lol

Good lord my old page one was not good! Sometimes I regret rebooting, but looking at this scruffy, philosophical monologue of a first page makes me feel better about that decision:

I keep this saved on a separate device to avoid contamination ew

iit's not my favourite page but I think it sets a much better scene than the original haha!

bad HAHA

remade the first page of KF1 but never replaced the 2nd version bc i never finished the reboot for print

1st version

2nd version (currently the one uploaded)

3rd (reboot)

didnt really redraw my second comic but still some revamps

and revamp/whats getting posted

not technically a reboot since the comic is still very new (under a month old, in fact), but i've been continuously editing the older scenes to be more in line with traditional comic format.
example from last night:

this was the old version!

and the new version is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7lDGNsGOP1-Nl9TRkI4djczTFk/view?usp=sharing

these are from parlor tricks, by the way! if you checked it out before and didn't like the amount of text, please consider giving it another try, it's been significantly streamlined for readability!

One can not overstate how drastic a difference many parts of my comic's reboot makes when compared to its original version on DeviantArt (which I refuse to post as an actual series because of how atrocious the art is.)
Original: (This isn't even as bad as it got, the lineart version was hideous beyond comprehnsion, that says a lot.) No seriously, it causes me great pain to look at the old version.
