Recommendations For an 11 x 17 Scanner

I've started drawing my comics on 11 x 17 paper and I love the larger size, but scanning is a pain. Currently I'm using a regular 8.5 x 11 sized scanner and stitching things together in Photoshop. It works, but it's not ideal.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a scanner or printer/scanner combo at the 8 x 11 size? I'm looking for something pretty low cost, for now. Some Googling has lead me to a few Epson and Brother models.

I have an Epson Workforce WF-7520 which is a scanner/printer and I really like it.
It's a little bulky, but I like having a wide format printer/scanner at home.

I've got a mustek, I think the express scan a3. I'd always used a 3 in 1 machine before that but I think my mustek is a lot more true to color than things I've used before.
It's probably about 3-4 years old now and I've never really had any complaints about it.

I have a WF-7510 and it is bulky but amazing. Scans AND prints 11x17 all in one fell swoop. Worth the $$ - wish i had it years earlier!

Mine is an HP Officejet 7612

it was about 170+ in USD for me at STAPLES.
I also use 11.17 for my poster illustrations and the scanner still has some space left.
It's also a printer but the ink cartridges don't last vary long if you print stuff often.

This is what mine looks like except it's black.

Oooo, that HP might be what I'm looking for. I don't thinkI could go back to using a non-wireless printer/scanner. Thanks!

I can't afford a scanner like that, so I go to Officemax or a kinko's printing place and they have a machine that sucks them in and spits them out really fast and you just have to request that they add the scanned images onto a flashdrive and it should be no problem I think it only cost a few bucks too

No problem! It also has scanning options you can customize (not sure if every scanner has that because this is my first one) but if you place your page up at the upper left corner and choose customize scan you won't have to do much cropping other than cropping it to the printing size.

I HIGHLY recommend Epson and the Workforce mentioned by both @Kaykedrawsthings and @eschaefges is an amazing machine! Prints are beautiful, scans are beautiful. I'm currently tethered to a Canon 11 x 17 flatbed and it's... not my cup of tea. Very finicky scans (adjusting curves for scanning linework is a must every time) and it has no way of connecting via wireless network so if I'm working in the living room, I have to bring it back into the office and hook it up via usb. Definitely miss my Workforce!
