Just wondering what everyone here would recommend for making your own comic site if you want to separate from Webtoon or Tapas? I guess comics with Wordpress is the most common but I just thought I’d ask if anyone has any other ones they like or suggestions / video/ tutorials on the subject.

Also I wanted to know if anyone had recommendations for

1) A good site /technique/ template for uploading multiple comics / one - shots instead of just a full ongoing series.
2) Any good templates / techniques for uploading scroll comics.

I'm not sure, but if you go to the ComicFury forum they have a whole section on html and java advice for comic sites. They are specific to comics hosted on comic fury, but it might be applicable

If < table > < img src="plot.gif > < /table > was good enough me fer me in 2002 it's good enough fer you whippersnappers!

I made mine https://animefanka.me/4 with wordpress + comic press theme + comic easel plugin combo with each comic being treated as a comic chapter in comic easel
this way I've got separate navigation for each series and easy switching between them

I hand-coded my own website in PHP and got a friend to host it for me, but I took a web design course for that express purpose, so that's maybe not the most universally applicable advice, lol.

I know there are Wordpress templates and similar things that exist, as mentioned above, that are probably worth looking into.

Right now just the hosting it free, the manga pages themselves on Comic Fury so that I can post it uncensored. I mixed 2 premade themes together and then added some of my custom code to it. I get most my views on there. But it does not let me go full out in what I want in design.

On Wordpress I have the main HP for it off my main art studio site. Now that its picked up. This year will be giving it its own domain. Already using Elementor Pro on Wordpress to make the theme and functions for it. I dont find the Comic Easel plugin that flexable for what I want. But many people use it.
I pay for a domain and hosting yearly basic package so its = to less than $100 a year Canadian combined doing it myself.

My best friends business does hosting and website design shes in the US. I'm in Canada but I use it just in case server issues, etc she can handle it. But I do the rest myself. I took courses in highschool and college. PHP. Nice! I remember designing foums and bulliten boards back in the day.

I second @theyrebothakilogram: ComicFury is nice and it's free. Their comic management system is pretty complete & there already have preset templates for you can work/experiment on your website appearances. (it's easier than Wordpress-- for me at least)

Plus, comic is much easy to be discovered in CF if you just update pages or drop by in their forum threads.
