Ah yes. I could not find any articles on bubbles with gimp to be honest. And you have valid points about the work
this is a scan of the second page on a bed scanner of my own. my attempts with portable scanners haven't been able to scan all edges unfortunately. My local scan shop can't get it either. So I used a ultra hd camcorder to photograph it with a warm light source and it through off the quality of the photo. I don't have any neutral lights.
It's a bit of a challenge to use acrylic paintings for graphic novels as a result.
Also yes, I have issues with lighting and shadow. This is like, my second painting in my own place. I was aiming for a van gogh style for the work, which lead me to create a lot of detail in the mid ground. the episode I'm working on right now is a study of light and shadow in the work. so please look forward to that, just as soon that i figure out the digital conversion issue.
And I'm excited their are people that like these types of stories. And your story, I mean I did not mention this earlier, but I like to think of myself as a former mathematician I never studied phi or the golden ratio, my studies in grade school turned towards calculus with a physics book. I had asked my teacher to show me the formula for some equations in physics, in algebraic terms, to help me work through some steps in the calculus crossover book. And once I demonstrated I understood derivatives and summations, I was moved into a different mathematics class.
So it's totally awesome to see a study of mathematics in a favorite medium. Total Kudos.
