Hello~ TurtleMe here!

I'm not sure how many of you here know who I am, but I'm an author here on Tapas. Several weeks back, I made a comic called Turtle Days58.

Aside from the fact that I have very little artistic skills of my own, I created this little project as a way to thank my readers who are curious about my life and use it as a way to showcase some of the talented artists here on Tapas!

I've reached out in a previous forum post and was able to work with a few artists that I thought could best represent the scripts I had made.

Anyway, Tapas thought what I was doing was a really cool way to promote more community artists and was eager to help.

Guest artists of my series will now be included in the Daily Snack, a mobile app feature that sends 5 episodes from different series to readers' inboxes every day!

Reason's you might want to apply:

1) Unlike other collaborations, this does not require commitment. If selected, we can collaborate on one episode (again, 4-7 panels) and then we can part ways. Of course, if both parties want to continue the collaboration, that can be arranged.

2) It's paid. I'm fortunate enough to be able to make a living doing what I love and I'm using this daily-life comic of mine as a thank you to all of my readers and fans so it's only natural to pay the artist for their work and effort. Do keep in mind that I might not be able to match your usual rate and if we can't come to an arrangement, you are more than welcome to decline.

3) You can use it as a promotion. My novel, The Beginning After The End11 has a little over 600,000 views and 17,000 subscribers. My comic, on the other hand, has reached over 19k views with almost 1k subscribers. I make sure to credit the artist (links to their tapas page and their Patreon if applicable) in the description.

4) Either your own comic (If it fits the recommended criteria16) or the piece you drew for me on TurtleDays (along with links to your own work) WILL BE FEATURED IN THE DAILY SNACK sometime in the near future.

5) Chance for reoccurring commissions. This is just a repeat of reason one, but, again, if both parties want to continue to work together, said artist/artists can be reoccurring guests.

How to apply:

It's fairly simple. Just comment below with a link to some of your comics or just dm me. Be sure to include your email address for when I get back to you and also a price range for your service (negotiable)

NOTE* comic artist must know how to color (sounds odd saying it like this). I'd highly highly highly prefer the comic shorts to all be in color so try to share links to colored works as well.

NOTE 2* I'm looking for multiple artists, so I encourage everyone who's interested to apply!

What will be expected from this collaboration:

1) Again, I want to showcase various art styles from different creators on here so I'm not going to ask you to draw a certain way. Rather, I'll encourage you to use this collaboration as a way to showcase your most comfortable and confident art style)

2) I will be providing the artists with a script for the most part. Feel free to voice out cool ideas, but for the most part, expect to work off a script.

3) Along with the 4-7 panel comic, you can choose to create a separate little art of my character introducing you. If you look at my comic, you'll see several examples of this.

4) Professional attitude. I consider myself a very mellow and flexible person and I don't have a hard deadline that I'll enforce on any of you, but all I ask is for my etiquette to be reciprocated.

Lastly, I just want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this. As a content creator, I've come to appreciate the community here on Tapas and want to do what I can to help support other artists. I look forward to working with all of you!

Cheers,
TurtleMe

p.s. please excuse my grammar/typos/etc.

Note: Tapas has agreed to provide support in the form of promotion (via daily snacks). They are not paying me to do this and I'm not receiving any compensation. Money used to pay for artists will be coming out of my own shallow pockets.

Absolutely love collab projects like this, especially between Premium and Community creators! Thanks TurtleMe for starting it up and allowing Tapas to get in on the love

If anyone has questions about the featuring part, feel free to @ me!

I'll try my best to leave a reply to everyone whether I decide to hire them or not, but please don't take it personally if you don't hear from me. I'll update on the progress of this here!

This is a really cool idea! I just went to check out your comic and I have to say that the "Title Acquired" and "One Moonlit Night" episodes were my favorite lol.

I'm not sure how this process works, but I'd like it if you would consider allowing me to participate. Price is up in the air as I am not really sure how much one would be willing to pay for a comic page from me.

Links to some of my works:

As a side note, I find it fairly simple to alter my art style, so it would be easy for me to draw in a style that better suits the previous works displayed in your comic.

If you're interested, the email to reach me at is flea.sha@yahoo.com

I hope to hear back from you!

This is great,! o.o you are so cool giving these oportunities to others artists~
This is my comic

Hello! I'd love to participate on your project.
My art style is vector, so I draw everything using mouse and Adobe Illustrator.
Here's my webcomic:

Thank you for the opportunity

That's so awesome. Amazing initiative, dude.
I write some series here on Tapas and I passed this post to my art partners that don't use the forum.

One of them, Guilherme Grassi, asked when you'd expect this collab to happen, because he recently broke his wrist and is recovering. Still, he'd love to do it if it's a little bit in the future. Here is our series together (all art and colors by him, except for #17):

(To contact him, please DM me here or in my e-mail address, jpnakashima@hotmail.com . He knows English, but not fluently, so I'd be a middleman if that wouldn't be a problem)

XXXXX

My other partner, Felipe Sato, would also love to do it and he's ready right away. We have two stories together, in which he only does linework, so beyond that I'll leave his Behance page where you can find some of his own coloring and samples.

His e-mail is satofh@gmail.com (and he understands English better haha)

This sounds really cool, I'd definitely like to give it a shot.
My own comic is here-

Though I really like working in watercolor too, I'm a little eclectic with my style!
Here's my IG if you'd like to take a look at some of the other stuff I do; https://www.instagram.com/craftymarten/
I can do a few character sketches for you to approve before the page to make sure you're happy with the style before I start.
If you're interested my email is craftymarten@gmail.com

Hi, I am interested too. Here are some examples of my comics:

Please contact me through Tapas or e-mail me at sushychan(at)gmail.com if you want to work with me.

Hello, it is worth reading your post because it seems you really friendly. I'm a manga artist but more inclined to black and white with grey tone manga than colored one but I do have colored art but it isn't my recent work.
I want to tell you my price via pm if possible
here are some of my works:

Thank you

Edit: Apologizes, I did forget to include my price range. It's the $75-100 range.

Wow, it's really great for you to showcase other artist's styles, it's very thoughtful

Here's my main comic:

And my "comedy" comic, which is slightly older:

both of these are done in a monochromatic color palette, so i have some fully colored works as well:

Hey! So, i don't know what to say exactly, i've worked with you before, it was very cool and i'd love to do it again!
(It got me a few subs last time)

As you may remember, my comic is

My e-mail is: Masterlink2elz2@gmail.com

Just like the last time, i'm fine doing it for free, the exposure is good enough.
I think i've gotten a little better at drawing since, but i understand if you prefer to get new artists, that's cool.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your interest in this little endeavor of mine! I'm still going through all of the artists and haven't exactly reached out to anyone yet!

I'll pm or email back the artists that I've chosen in these next two weeks! Again, even if you haven't been chosen for this "round", it might only be because I need some time to think of new scripts and I can only do batch by batch at a time!

Until then, I look forward to reading everyone's works!

uh I don't know if it's too late for this but I'd like to participate in it :). my comic is down here

you can either pm me or email pastelpetall@icloud.com

Hello,

You've probably gotten a lot of offers, but I thought i'd leave my details here just in case you're interested.
My email is: art.akiocha@gmail.com
My price range really varies depending on the detail/requirments/length of the piece. If you were to look at it from a "page by page" format (which is easier to calculate) I usually charge about $25-35 USD per page, but i'm pretty flexible with price.

First off i'd just like to link my online portfolio as it is a better representation of what I can actually draw and not the simplified style for my comics: (https://alicejao.myportfolio.com2)

My current main comic is:

And i've had many many comics in the past (both commissioned and personal.) Some of which are not online but you can find some of my other comics on my tapastic account. (I have a comedy/4coma style one as well as another narrative one)

Thanks for your time! Good luck on your projects
