Hmm I understand alcoholism and history erasure, but I don't see how the others could trigger PTSD, anxiety or other extreme mental states.
My comic has more warnings than content.
Triggering stuff:
- Substance abuse
- Mental illness
- Violence
- Slurs
- Self-harm
- Body horror
- Abuse
- Mouth trauma
- Blood
- Bruising
- Manipulation
- Non-consensual sex (Implied)
- Nudity
- Discussion of suicide.
- Assault
- Bigotry
- Hospitals
- Profanity
For the fun of it:
- Queer people making bad decisions and being bad people.
- Queer people.
- No payback for people being shitty.
- Bright colors.
- Persistent stupidity.
- Pronoun confusion.
- Short people next to tall people.
- Bad grammar.
- Unreliable narrators.
- Sweater vests.
- Russians
- Unruly hairdos.
- Bad wingmen.
- Performative activism.
- The American healthcare system.
- Big city traffic.
- Protags being shitheads.
- Boring story.
- Lack of cis/hets.
- Pessimism
- Workaholics
- Gross stuff in weird places.
Honestly anything can offend someone (Used to see TWs for flowers, happy people, self-care, cute animals, exercise, etc. on Tumblr. Legit warnings from legit blogs. Also saw a comic that had 'yelling' as a warning.) so I just go the traditional route, listing what can trigger anxiety or PTSD. I think that is WAY more important, and practical, than listing everything under the sun that might put someone's panties in a bunch... including the sun.
