here's one that my mom and i would make years ago. and it's good the next day too~
take four or five average potatoes (small to medium) and roughly chop them. please leave the skin on. boil them with garlic powder and beef bouillon until you would mash them (so about 15-20 mins)
while that is happening, fry up bacon (could be any kind, but i haven't tried with turkey so tread with caution if you do that), then after you get rid of the bacon grease, fry up some ham leave the ham stuff in the pan
Fry up onions until caramelized, add liquids if needed, but not a lot. You're not making a soup.
When it's all done, mix it all up in one bowl and enjoy! make sure you rip up the bacon and ham!
It's some nice and warm comfort food.
It's even better the next day cause all the flavors have mixed up~
