So we all have ideas for future comics, let's share them here! Just write really a really simple outline and maybe we can give each other feedback or ideas!

I am thinking about doing a coin generated comic (Thanks coin tips!) about werewolves with lots of sex, blood, and violence. I would love to illustrate a transformation scene or one scene of a werewolf eating a human. I think that'd be hot.

Now it's your turn!

Damn, Jon! A coin-generated comic's a really good idea! … I might have to borrow that.

Anyway, I've got a bunch of things floating around as always, but I'll just mention the ones I've come up with in the last year.

  • a headless horseman (of sorts) has tracked down his head, but will need the help of an ex-indentured servant girl to get it. (I've shared some of this with my Patrons).
  • some romance between two ranch hands (would just be a quick non-committal one-shot, maybe a Patreon exclusive or this coin-gen comic you speak of)
  • some light raunchy comedy about a homeless ship-less pirate who sleeps around a lot.

I'm trying to improve my art skills before I attempt either of these two:

  • An immortal possessed by the demon Bathin works for an organization that hunt down other possessed people.

  • A mahou shoujo set in a small American town based around alternate dimensions.

They may not sound that great, but like I said I'm hoping to improve my skills and make these two a reality.

Slice of life comic about Street preachers... And more blatant direct tracts... Similar to Jack Chick. There.

i've got a story idea called Roon that i've been working on since 2014 and the mediums and art styles have changed so much for it...................

originally it was supposed to be an rpgmaker game but my version of it was cough pirated and was only half translated so i had absolutely no clue what i was doing. after that i tried to reboot it as a comic, avas demon/colorless single panel style. got 24 panels in and stopped because i started working on SPIRE and was really enjoying it. it's better that i stopped because the intro was super rushed and it was almost entirely unscripted/outlined (it was kind of a "write a couple lines of dialogue and then draw the pages for it" and it ended up a mess). i still kinda like the way some panels look though.

i used a really basic version of my painted style for it.

and then i watched wander over yonder and it's made me want to turn it into a more lighthearted cartoony type comic done in episode format. i still want to use the single panel style, which i think would work really well. wander over yonder's visuals are so good tbh i could definitely see it working for Roon

the whole premise of it follows a refugee alien who came to a planet called Roon after her home planet was completely taken over by a dangerous group of people, and then moving to conquer other planets, starting with Roon. I still need to find time to fully map out the new style I want to go with and make some test panels.

hahaha go ahead! I think it's great because you can still work on your other comics and only work on the coin-gen comic once you hit a certain milestone, so it's not as stressful and you still do something you enjoy!

btw that headless horseman comic sounds good!!

@KoreanTacos possessed hunters sound like a really fun comic idea! Specially if you have awesome material to work with on demons and magic!

@stnmaren those panels are pretty sweet! I was thinking about doing a comic in that format as well but I just think it might move the story too slowly and wouldn't grasp as many people as one-chapter/one-page comics would

OMG I really wanted to do this but no time!! Someone pls make this cuz I wanna read it:

So basically its a story based on this series on nosleep: https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/4ho869/um_can_any_of_you_guys_tell_me_whats_wrong_with/?st=J001ZMD4&sh=1d14a928

The gist of it is a super dumb bimbo girl and she has all this horrifying occult supernatural shit happening around her but she's so dumb and bimbo that she doesn't really get freaked out, just annoyed. Someone should write a comic where we see all different sorts of horror stuff (like girls crawling out of tvs etc) from her point of view where she just gets annoyed and bitches about it and in the end her bimbo reaction to the horror stuff resolves the situation. Like a comedy one :Ddd

Wish I had the creative talent to draw as well as I can write. The gears in my head just burn out whenever I try to just draw the head of one of my characters! xD

  • A furry fantasy in which an indigenous island nation settles a decade long conflict with a mighty empire by setting an arrange marriage. (Island princess if a wolf, where as the empire is ruled by lions. So expect a range of bitter rivalries between these cats and dogs  )

I will work on the second once I finish my current series : )

  • A girl that doesn't know she's a vampire, is just trying to live her life. (Mostly gag with little main plot)

  • Two teenagers from an old underground city find their way out and have to learn how to fit in on the highly developed upper grounds.

  • A Zelda fan comic, where Link had a daughter that thinks she's reincarnation of him. (Which she's obviously not) Link dies and shit's hitting the fan. In the end the daughter was actually a reincarnation of Ganondorf  But I'm not gonna put hours in just a fan comic so...

The 23rd century. The world is inhospitable to anyone without superpowers. The combination of a thin ozone layer, lack of land and fear of an alien invasion - after mass sightings in the late 21st century - has forced the majority of the population into vast underground cities while those fortunate enough to inherit a strain of superhuman abilities live above and act as administrators, protectors and occasionally villains. The ever present threat of alien invasion and the fear of exposure to the Sun's radiation has kept the population of New Victoria content to let the status quo remain - though rumours exist of safe havens where the sun never shines long enough to harm you. Everything is kept in check, until one underground woman makes a run for it - setting into motion a tense thriller where she is hunted by superhumans, who swear they only want to keep her safe.

I originally wrote this as a short "Future Shock" intended for 2000AD (I met the some of the staff at a con and they were really cool), but I lost my nerve when it came to sending it as it's original 8 page format (it wasn't very good as a self contained story.) I'm currently writing an expanded comic script (as opposed to the jumble of notes and sketch books that I work from for Templars), which fleshes out the narrative into something more serial. I don't know if I'll ever find time to draw it but it would be a black and white comic, and told in 8 page bursts much like the old British comics were.

Here's another idea I had, which I think would work as a short story:

In a utopian society founded on the back of a great and noble leader's foundation hundreds of years prior, a Cadet steals a prototype and untested Time Machine and uses it to journey back to try and prevent the great man's death. However, the machine is unable to extrapolate any form of causality, rendering the cadet as a shimmering ghost out of the corner of the man's eye. Unable to speak or act, the cadet can only make rough gestures, which cause the leader to believe him a vengeful spirit, extracting a chilling confession about the evil deeds he committed in order to lay the foundations for the future utopia. As he finishes his speech, begging for mercy on his knees, an orbital strike wipes his palace off the map, forcing the time-traveller back to his own time. The entire story is told in the office of the leader, and we don't find out how important he is until the cadet arrives home, with everyone begging him to tell them what he saw.

I've got two comic ideas that I really want to spend more time on, but I've got real life an my other comic holding me back right now. :'D

  • A monster under the bed tells a troubled young girl learns that she is actually not a human, but a changeling, and they go on a quest through the realm of the fairies to reunite her with her true parents.

The next one is a lot more fleshed out and I actually tried to write a script for it already, but it's till in need of major revision. I have a neat little summary for it I made!

  • Evan Silva doesn't know why or how, but he can see ghosts now. He knows his blood is cursed, though, but he's not sure what that entails. Ruby says there're rumors, rumors of a devil in the woods who could teach him forbidden knowledge for a price. She says it isn't worth it, but Evan doesn't know if he can trust that.

I've thought of stuff some I want to turn into an animation but having a job prevents that so some ideas i'll turn into a comic one day:

  • a middle aged businessman walks into an entrance/train station/bridge and finds himself in a desolate wintery world surrounded by tall cement building and faceless humanoids. He's forced into slavery by them once he realizes he can't return home and finds himself living within a large underground bunker harvesting vegetables with other humans they've taken hold of.

  • a child lives alone in a a building resembling a castle gatehouse by the sea. She's convinced she's a princess of an abandoned kingdom and waits the day her kingdom returns for her. She spends her life in solitude and many outsiders find her to be delusional or under a curse.

  • if All Broken Gods1 manages to get some sort of fanbase or following maybe when it finishes i'll start a new comic showing what happens to the characters in 5-10 years after it ends.

  • some sort of parody yaoi comic involving either shorts or a serious drama where there's a universe where semes are feral hell beasts that feast on lemur ukes and impregnate their corpses with their offspring.

I have an idea for a comic that I began working on back in 2011 but I had to stop due to time constraints. It's a story about the main characters (brother and sister) ending up on an alternate universe after a car accident. I probably won't work with this idea until many years from now, as I have a lot of plans for my current comic once it is completed, including an audiobook with voice acting and maybe even some animations.

So many ideas that will probably never see the light of day. Here are my current favorites.

  • A sort of apocalyptic groundhog day. The barrier between the human and demon worlds has been torn apart. Apparently the protagonist was supposed to be the one preventing that, but someone forgot to tell her that, at least until her demonic counterpart appears to send her back a day to try and fix things. On the one hand, she has no idea what she's doing. On the other, she has as many second chances as she needs to figure out what happened, why, and how to stop it. Assuming that's even possible at this point.

  • A sci-fi story based on the fairy tale "East of the Sun, West of the Moon". A girl gets caught up and becomes a pawn in a 'game' between a rich woman with far more money than humanity and the clueless heir to a major tech company. The game is rigged, but that doesn't matter because she has no intention of playing along. Or of losing.

  • A fantasy story about two highly irresponsible people running away from what they've been told is their fate. For Senna, that means starting a family and being a responsible adult. For Kel, it's saving the world.

A comedy/slice of life about a high school teacher who absolutely hates his life and his job. He develops a strange bond between him and his two idiot students.

Not a separate comic necessarily but i'd love to do some side comics exploring the events in the lives of some of my characters that happen before/separate from the main story. :0
