The two on the left are mother and father of the kid here

...this thread made me realise that despite having LOTS of characters in different stories, almost none of them have kids : 0
But, those two have three kids:

(and the guy also takes care of additional two)

The girl on the right has twins when she's much older, they were supposed to appear in my webcomic's sequel but I probably won't be drawing it:

I also have one character from another story that has a daughter, but he doesn't have a design yet because I'm waiting for my art&design skills to get better before I draw him.

Anddd that's basicaly it.

Weirdly enough, my MCs parents are almost always relevant to the stories, even when the characters are adults, so I have a lot of parents in my stories, XD,

Hmmm.

Roy and Elsie will be parents soon!

Here’s Roy and Rosie’s parents in the late 1860s when they were in an arranged marriage.

Martin calls Ernest “father” (He invented him)

I guess Rosie and Ernest are parents technically already just as they got married. LOL!!

My MC's (MUKHTAR) parents are:

KHALAF (The father):

ADILAH (The Mother):

Jabir (The Uncle)

Both parents and uncle are dead. So he's adopted by MIDHA, along with his adopted brother; SA'AD and MIDHA's biological daughter; ASRA:

Fun fact, MIDHA was a former assassin before she met Mukhtar:

OH YAY! My favorite dynamic in my story is the mother- daughter. The piece below is a Gilmore Girls redraw but with my gals. Sadie(left) adopted Andy(right) in the late 1800s
Sadie doesn’t age and Andy ages 7x slower than a human which inspires many Gilmore Girls screen-cap redraws

(I’m getting into the origins of their meeting in my book very very soooon!)

@sophialyncoleman

Yes! let's give adoptive parents their rep!

I have one character in one of my stories raising her second cousin and I'm seriously debating whether I should count her as a mother or not because the living conditions are so odd for them.

Here's a "foster mom" and her daughter though

both these women/girls are immortal too, a fairy and a mermaid

Eman and Emmalee from MAG-ISA. Boy? Girl? Twins?

There's Ken, who's sitting at the head of the table in the first page

One of my favorite things about writing for Crescent Blue is the cute dynamic between Scamp and his family, something which you don't often see with Shonen protags of his type. There's also his mom Julia, who is currently dead in the story

Then there's Sarah's father Joseph, though I havent had too much time to draw her and her family together since Scamp is the focus character

meh, good time to make a quick (future) family tree. basically Henry will adopt Larry, Autumn is the guardian of Spring and shares custody with Henry because wether she likes it or not, he's also Spring's uncle, which makes Spring and Larry adotive cousins.
Besides that, Larry (still) has two parents, a grandma and a brother, he has more family but he doesn't know that yet.
Spring's parents are ded, and due to difficulties at birth, she's the only birth survivor out of the litter of 9 pups.

I have some parent characters in Etherwood!

I think it's funny how mustache=dad so often in fiction even though they've been out of fashion for several decades now. Obviously I'm no exception.

Blue Fedora and Otto aren't parents yet...but Cornelius Clyborne is a veteran dad of 14 years . :joy:

Hmm. I don't have a lot, not main characters at least. Parents show up as side characters sometimes-- but they're just there to be awful, abusive, and/or die.

But! From my oldest comic (under this username, differnet site though); Tales of an Executioner. Her name is Tifinie.

A young lady who was abused by her father, birthed a child in a horrific state, and mercy killed it. And given the comic's name you can imagine how that ends for her. But hey! She's sort of the leading lady, even if the comic is mostly a character study of the Executioner.

Another arguably main character parent is Mr.Berry;

The comic is framed as him reading the journals of 3 dead kids-- one of them being his son, the other two being robots, and putting together what happened to lead to all their deaths. He kills the robots thinking it was to avenge his son, however one of the robots was his son's lover so. Oops. He kills himself upon realising this.

David isn't technically a parent, but he's the main parental figure in his brother Bobbie's life. So I'll say it counts lolol

Their parents work a lot so it eventually fell onto David to raise his brother. He's definitely a better parent than their biological parents are lol

Siblings parents need more rep, but I think they count, imao, and they can be really wholesome. I've written this dynamic in some of my stories too. Actually Alicia played this role for Andrew, though it was only for a few months when she was 13 and he was 9

oh, I must have confused the girl in pink's hair for ears lol

Well...Walter Ego's dad got..."unalived" by a serial killer. It's gonna be the story after the current one.

First post here by the way, super stoked.
In the comic I’m in the process of writing there is a husband and wife duo that play a big part in the story. They are aliens, one of two sentient species on the planet the story takes place on. Here’s some concept art of the two of them going on a stroll with one of there children.

thanks still working on an upcoming chapter (and final designs) involving them, but these two are adoptive parents

To these two

This is John, Jack's father:

This is the very first drawing I made of him back then in the year 2015, before the art style of the comic started to change:

Just remembered that my last episode included Xivian and Daevon’s Parents

No good pic of mom though just her hair

This is Lord Molch, the vampyre ruler of 100 regions.
Azalie and Azazel are his children.
