I'm sure many of us have done one of these...

Character Height Charts! You know, where you draw all your characters alongside one another, showing their heights compared to one another for reference...

Let's see them here!

Here's mine for POW! Right in the Nostalgia24! It's not from shortest to tallest or anything, but shows off how everyone is next to each other (and that main character Charlotte is the shortest adult of the cast.)

I did this one a while back.

It's outdated because its missing one character. And half of these guys haven't appeared in my series yet.

I drew this one for Crow Summer3 over Christmas break. At this point in the comic, all these characters have been seen in the background, and most of them have had minor speaking roles... except for the big guy with painty clothes, who's been mentioned by other characters but not seen.

My height chart is actually a colour reference sheet for me, so it's a bit of a mess! xD

A couple of the characters weren't drawn at the same time as the others so they don't quiiiiite fit, but it's just for me, so it's fine. The actual file has the foot and inch indicators in the background that I can toggle on, and all the characters are on separate layers, so I can drag one character on top of or beside another if I want to get a better look at how their heights would line up when they interact!

Here's mine:

I can't wait to see how much bigger it gets once I start adding more characters to my comic. smile

Here are the current characters from Cosmic Fish3! (Minus the recent character change)

These are the ones for the main website but I have them as a height chart in my documents just in case. I DO sometimes toggle with the characters' heights when I want specific shorts with, for example, Bells and Schnell, and just hope no one notices. |"D Cuz having Bells not even be as tall as Schnell's legs can be A PROBLEM.

It's all fun and games till Ciante shows up GDI.

Mine's a couple years old, but I still use it for reference occasionally. The designs for the cast of Heroic Shenanigans1 have changed quite a bit since i drew this, wow.

Can definitely see the changes after going through your comic, but at the same time see they're all still recognizable.

I don't have a drawn-out height chart for Memorandum, but I use this website21 to get the difference in heights somewhat accurate. You just type in your characters heights and the website compares them. Maybe it's useful for other creators, too!

For my main characters in HiaDW1 I only made a height chart with stick figures but you know, of course I made proper height chart for characters who won't even make an appearance until much later. But to be fair, I do love these ladies very much and I want to make a comic all about them some day.

(This pic is a few years old, so there's actually been some small changes in designs but it still works for height reference.)
