How about my character? smile She's a gothic lolita. I followed you on IG too. [image]

I like Blender, but it has a steep learning curve. I learned pretty much everything off Youtube and fiddling around with it, but I like the versatility. Once you learn how to model or import models and set up cameras it becomes pretty easy to make backgrounds. I've also made lots of different props …

Getting closer! I added you to the list and took down your questions as well. Added you to the list. I can't speak for the other reviewers, but if I find something that keeps coming up over and over, I do make a note of it. We aren't here to tear people down though. I would offer somethin…

I added you to the list! It may be a while for us to look at your comic though...

I updated the link! You are getting close to the top of the list!

Hello! I'm Glenn from the Strip Show Revue and we are looking for new acts to review! And by acts I mean webcomics... You can see who's already on our list, Waiting in the Wings, right here. If you'd like to get your comic reviewed comment here or PM me, whatever you feel comfortable with.…

I've done it, but I did them while I was on hiatus or at the end of my comic's run.

Yeah you could try and make your comic into motion comic and put it on Instagram that way. Now, you can put up to 1 min long videos on Instagram too, livestream, snapchat, etc.

I did the Top Web Comics square ads. They were 15 dollars for like a month and every day I would see quite a few new visitors for my comic. You can also try and enter contests on their site. Sometimes you can get a participation award and earn 15 days of advertisement with TWC.

Here's my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7DmxvmbuB78DqLG9IPlKQA I've uploaded timelapses of my webcomic drawing to Youtube throughout the years but they've never been too popular. I think I did hit upon something when I combined a blog article I did on my comic site about anim…

I'm writing the second episode for my webcomic...finally. It'll be different in format than the first one.

I finished my webcomic This Mortal Coil: The Rabbit and the Moon after 4 years of on/off work. I finished serializing it on my 36th birthday back in May and now I can work on other projects including a second episode for This Mortal Coil. I also put together a coloring book based on some illustrat…

Looks fun! But it also looks like it would take a long time to do.

How about these two ladies? The Lolita, Kamiko, is from my webcomic here on Tapastic. The Dominatrix lady is Catherine... I'm not sure what I will do with her... [image]

I know for me, after years of working with Kamiko as a character, I've come to see her as someone who represents willfulness, risk, recklessness, hubris, and arrogance. Those are the qualities I want to explore more in her character.

I also like Blender for 3D modeling. There's lot of tutorials on youtube to get you started too!

Here's my twitter: https://twitter.com/albinogrimby I followed you all too! smiley

I co-run a meetup here in the SF bay area called Drawing Meats. It's not all comics, but a few of us have webcomickers in the group including me. It's mostly to hang out, geek out, and draw (and do group drawing activities).

Hey @BahamutAXIOM! I've done a bunch with GIFs and I wrote this blog post on my site about optimizing GIFs for use on the web/Tapastic: http://www.mortalcoilcomic.com/gif-compression-techniques/ For Tapastic though they have a 2mb file size limit. I cut my large comic pages up into individual f…

I'll sometimes hear Kamiko's name pronounced as "Kimiko". I once heard it spoken as "KAM-co".

Thank you @Cielle! I've added Reus to the list at #178.

@junorunow I was like that too. Some shameless self-promo, but I wrote a primer on using twitter on a review site I write for called The Strip Show Revue. Hopefully, you'll find that helpful if you plan to try out Twitter. I was where you were at a year ago, but I think I've figured some stuff out w…

@jerreaudriessen Cool. Do you use it to supplement the worldbuilding you do in the main comic? I'm curious how you use your twitter for the character.

Yeah it would be like a roleplaying thing, but that's essentially what you're doing when you're writing characters for a story. You're role playing them, trying to get into their heads and express it through a comic. This would be expressing your character in a different way, as if they existed an…

I know you're probably on Twitter doing social media for your comic, but is your character on Twitter? Do you use Twitter as another way to explore your character or extend the universe of your comic? If your character is on Twitter, how do you go about playing your character? Do you do the same …

Here's my character Kamiko over the years... [image]

@kristintipping7 Thanks for checking out our backlog of reviews. There's some good comics in there as well as reviews. I placed your two comics as 176 and 177. If we feel that it's too much to have two comics by the same author back to back, then we'll push one back. If you read the other replies…

@KoalaMari I added you to the list! We'll get to it eventually. Until then, please check out the comics we've reviewed. smile
