mine starts out as chicken scratch lol... (finished ver of thumbs)
Oh man, definitely don't feel like you've gotta rush things.Take the time your project deserves, I for one will happily wait :V
Well i draw everything traditionally by hand because its easier and i have an idea on the balance and prospective. when i draw on computer i end up doing so much adjustment and i can't manipulate the canvas like i want to. so its better i draw it and scan it in then illustrate and color lol works just right!visit my comic if you're curious. Love this thread! Still, my storyboards have improved over time and now are easily readable (unless my peers are making fun of me, that's what they said)
This took me like a month to do haha
I swear my initial sketches are like baby doodles lol. I usually draw them that way just to get a quick understanding of how I want to page to layout.
Then I do a second sketch on top of it so I for linework purposes. Sometimes I'll line the bg if its simple enough.
And finish!
Here's a comparison I did some time ago for The Changeling's Sister. My sketches variy from somewhat detailed to... well, this:
Honestly I have a bad tendency to wing it as far as the full comics, but my attention to detail has gotten a lot better... character sketch from one year ago and now. Yikes.
Outer Spaces here, just in case.

I like my sketches to be messy, as long as they are expressive ;D From the comic "June"
Silenced gasping at the drafts rockin' here -- you guys bring the GAME even in the early phases. I'm stupid intimidated by this craft, gosh. My ugly drafts are quite honestly a wreck in and of themselves (something of a virus that's been cranking down the coherency since the last decade)!
Graphite, scan, and an occasional digi-fix before I dive into inking/painting/polishing.
Pff I saw those unique panels and I immediately knew it was you!
That bear is GORGEOUS Love the linework in the fur.

uuuuuhhh
Ever since I got my tablet (legit just two days ago XD), I've been doing more of the structures similar to the wooden Manikin dolls you get at art stores.
Right here, I'm mostly starting to flesh out characters for an upcoming horror series Within the Woods
Update (2/1/2018): I decided to redo these, do here's are the new sketches~

Wow... everyone's drafts look so loose and beautiful... Mine is so stocky and it's so obvious I overthink too much ㅠㅠ
