Cool topic to resurrect!

A tour:
1) tiny picture of my wife and me, as seen in Ultimate X-Men #44 (true story)
2) corner of my house where kids can't easily break stuff, thus where all my statues go! Includes:
Doop, Mario, Jim Kirk, Catwoman, Marty McFly, Saruman, Batman, Rat Creature, Superman vs. Wonder Woman, Voldemort, Shawn & Gus, Peter Parker, Dementor, Iron Man, Clark Kent, Spider-Man, Dr. Doom, Spock, Link, Buffy, Thing, Stormtroopers, Deadpool, Thor, Nicholas Angel, Fin Fang Foom, Black Panther, Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Groot
3) Backup hard drive! Never draw a giant comic without one!
4) Work computer - nothing to see here
5) 24" monitor!
6) Epson Giant Flatbed Printer/Scanner/Supermachine that I totally wish I had when I had to scan A Legend (of some sort) but got last year
7) Keyboard and Mouse! For using computer things!
8) Wacom Cintiq tablet from about 3-4 years ago. Not as precise as newer models (arcs/fast drawn circles suffer the most) but it makes coloring and digital painting a breeze. Starting to experiment with drawing directly on it for new comic works, in MS5 which i got this year.

I think a great, comfortable workspace that you love is an important part of writing, or drawing, or creating. I just recently moved into a new apartment, and picking an apartment that would make me feel good while I worked from home was a big part of my decision. So far, it's definitely inspired me to be more productive, focused, and to enjoy working from home even more than before.

So, while I'm working on my new comic, Atonement, this is the space that I'm doing it from.

Where do you guys work from? What do you like about it? For me, the most important things are:

  • Clean working space.
  • A nice view with lots of natural light during the day. I'm a city guy, so I love being in a downtown area.
  • My DIY home recording studio set-up for voice over and sound engineering stuff close by.
  • My tablet, PC, etc, of course.
  • Really nerdy art that I love all around me.
  • Coffee during the day, beer at night.

Oooh I love topics like these! I love love love seeing people's workstations! 8D

Here's my half of the workspace that I share with my boyfriend (Everything under the black Jurassic park banner on the right is his! We also share the bookshelf and the cabinet thing on the left.) Currently working on a Suihira update that's scheduled for April, so here's a sneak peek I guess. : P

Also the bottle isn't beer, it's prickly pear soda!

I use a Surface Pro 2 so I'm usually drawing my comic at a coffee shop early in the morning before work, and during lunch. But when I'm at home, I can be found in my little corner.

.

UGH! Would LOVE to participate in this, but my workstation area is in flux right now. Trying to get an L-shaped desk so that I can have a complete art studio/multimedia area all in one. I'm very picky about the type of desk I want- the one that I DO want I have to make sure the store that carries it still has it.
