Speed in your Chapters

I aim for about 20 pages. I find that for me it feels nice to say I have completed something even if the whole thing isn't done yet. I release one page a week so then that takes about 5 months for the whole thing to come out. It really does seem like forever, but I can only do one page a week and also keep my sanity.

My comic has 3 chapters so far, first chapter has 20 pages, second has 24, third is currently at 20, but it looks like it might have about 26-27 pages by the time it's finished. I try to finish two pages a week, so in theory I should be able to get a chapter out in just over two months. This rarely works out though.

My 1st chapter was 36 pages and took me about 7 months to complete, at the rate of 2 pages per week. I'm currently on my 2nd chapter, and while I dont have an official script page count yet- it may end up being over 40 pages. Once again I'm working at my 2 page per week schedule(though I only post once a week, so the pages start to build up)...

My comic is very episodic, with each chapter pretty much having a self-contained plot, so they tend to run long… between 30 and 40 pages. In the past I've only updated one page per week, and two pages on special occasions (between college and work I don't have enough time to draw more, oops!).

The first chapter took me 32 weeks to post and was 40 pages long. (EDIT: that's 8 months LOL)

I'm estimating that the second chapter will be 27 pages long and will take me 20 weeks to post, although my goal is to have it done in 15 weeks.

My comic runs about 15 pages long per chapter. That's because I also print my book and printers request pages in multiples of 4 including the cover. So that gives me 15 pages of comic, extra page for bios, front/back inside cover and font/back cover. However for short stories I go around 30 pages. Again, for printing reasons. I don't think there is a standard length, you just need to do what feels right and fits your story.

I've got two chapters so far and they've both been just under 40 pages. Like @Wishjacked, my chapters are pretty episodic so I feel like that's a pretty good length for them.

Both chapters took um... way too long to actually finish on account of me taking extended hiatuses during them. >_> But at my regular update schedule of one page a week, that would be around nine months from start to finish.

My chapters were originally about 16 pages but at one point I felt like that was way too short and now they are about 30 pages.

I post about 3 pages a week so posting a chapter takes about 2.5 months.

My chapters are around 50 pages, give or take. They usually take around a year since I finish one page a week. :>

Might want plan for shorter future chapters, but my first actual chapter will probably end around 70 - 80 pages. I post 3-4 pages every 2 weeks so technically 1.5 - 2 pages per week. Looking to be 10 - 11 months for this first single chapter. Very slow indeed.

I aim for 24 pages in a chapter minimum. And they take me about 2 months total to produce.

Which works well for me, because this lets me keep my (hopeful) schedule of a print issue every 3 months (because the printers take their time with it)

15 pages in 2 months is a pretty good rate, I wish I could make good time like that.

My chapters so far have been between 22-30 pages at 1 page a week, so roughly 6-8 months a chapter. I've just roughed my chapter finale of sorts and it's practically a double chapter (around 50 pages) and I expect that to go for a whole year plus who knows how many weeks/months should any life things come up.

ive made a mistake and chapter 1 of spire is 23 pages while 2 is 80+

i worked on 1 for about 3 months and 2 has been going since july

Chapters tend to be around 40-50 pages.

Usually takes a month and a half to complete a chapter.

So far, all of my chapters have been at least 25-30 pages long. My last chapter was like 40 pages or something. The numbers will always vary by chapter, but I think the median number is around 30 pages per chapter.

what Im a little worried is about my subs getting bored D: and yes I think doing the chapters "short" helps with that : )

hmm... your comic doesnt really seem to be the genre for people getting bored? its slice of life / slow burn(?) romance, so people arent expecting high and fast drama. that said, its good to keep in mind giving people a motivation to keep reading at the end of each update - ending each one with an eency cliffhanger, like a page-turn reveal, helps with that.

First chapter was 50, took three months, was really experimental and irregular upload amounts. Second chapter was supposed to be about 50 but got expanded to 75, took... three months. I think once you get a good workflow going, you can output pages a lot faster than you'd expect (Also my pages aren't the most detailed things in the universe XD)

I'm in vertical format with 33 panel per episode since episode 55 of my Oh My Ghost and it cost me 3 days to make plus I can only draw at night.
