Started posting on webtoon- anxious about ratings

As the title says, I decided to post My first comic on webtoon as well as tapas. I spent all of last night cropping my comic to fit the webtoon size requirements, and then posted all nine updates all at once so it was equal with my tapas one. Then i went to bed and when I woke up it was at a 7.75 rating. I ended up getting really (maybe irrationally) nervous that that was a very bad score, since everything I've ever read on webtoon has been between 8-10 (but mostly, like 9.8) and that that meant that my comic would be really poorly received or was actually really bad or something (I know that's mostly just empty anxiety though, but still)

Is a 7.5 a really bad rating for having a comic up for not even a full 24 hours? Should I be worried about this?

Does webtoons tell you how many individuals rated it because if its just 5, as opposed to like 100, the rating will be insanely off.

It doesn't, from what I can tell, but my comic only has like 80 views at the moment. (i don't have any social media to promote on) and I doubt the view/rate ratio is very high

It's likely low. Not all people will rate, and you have to correct for misclicks and click in-out people, yourself if webtoons counts yourself, and any search bots. So erring on the side of 80 genuine people, perhaps 8 of those will actually fully read and rate it, and less will fully read but still rate it. I'd say try to wait at least 24 hours, or three days, before going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I know it's hard. But close the window and stop staring at the numbers.

The problem is when one person is giving your comic 1 star, it crashes the rating a lot and it's hard to bring it back (something like 10 people should give you 10 stars to return it to the original score), and when there are very few people voting it will jump like crazy. I just upped your rating a bit, just because you don't have to feel so terrible if someone had a bad day and decided to give you one star.
Don't give up immediately because of it.
It happens frequently, the site is full of competitors and teenagers in bad mood. Don't forget that your art cannot please everyone. Try not to worry about it a lot

I probably shouldn't have felt so anxious about it to begin with, I realize now that it was kinda a knee jerk reaction... haha, but thank you for being so kind!

It's entirely natural. Just remember the moment of freak out only lasts as long as you allow it to!

It's a totally normal reaction, I swear every time I have a bad mood for a whole day at least when I see rating dropping But it's not something you can control and the work of comic maker is crazy enough, so not concerning yourself with it is the best way to go

Hey, I just checked your comic out. I think 7.75 is kinda harsh and does not at all reflect on the actual quality of your work. I haven't read it all but the art so far is really nice, the page flow is good, easy to read/understand, etc! I think it was probably just one or two people that tanked the score. I gave you a 10 to help boost it back to a more reasonable rating. I know everybody says don't worry about the numbers(but let's be honest, we still do anyways) but I'm sure it will get better as more people read it and that you'll hopefully worry less.

Went and gave you a ten! Don't give up! There are a lot of good looking comics there with abysmal ratings. Just carry on drawing and it will climb back up

You want readers and subscribers.
The people that rate do not have to be reader or subscribers.

Also, do not worry about readers and subscriber this time of year. It is a low point right now.

I just drop a 10 rating for you! Something similar happened to me and I'm still trying to bring my readers to help me bump me back. Some people do it just to be mean, because if you find something you don't like to read, you just drop it.

Don't worry too much about your webtoon rating. People over there can be kind of petty and will downrate a comic just because the updates are short or whatever and it drags down the whole average. Mine was low when I started, too, but over time it improved as readers came back episode after episode. In any case, webtoon only shows you the top of the top - 7 and change isnt bad at all!!

Don't worry about Webtoon ratings. Most of the time it's other creators being jealous of you when your comic is rated poorly. As long as your comic has decent engagment, don't worry about the rating.

I agree with everyone else here. Don't worry about the ratings. Consider it a rite of passage of sorts.

I myself got three one stars in a span of a couple days and am slowly recovering. My viewer and sub growth hasn't changed at all during this time so try not to let it get to you too much.

Yep, a one star rating really tanks your rating early on. Had some of those come in during the short story contest and it dropped the rating super hard. Ratings don't reflect your comic's quality, so don't worry about that. Bad ratings can come from people just because they didn't like a certain scene or because they're having a bad day, or some other random reason. I do understand the feeling when looking at a lower rating, though, because I felt the same way when it happened. Glad to see it's gotten better for you. I left a 10 star rating as well.

It is funny how you watch the 0.0 rating, but then you see it go to 1.0 (lowest possible score someone can vote).

I have stopped scoring/rating my own story. It seems to attract down voters.

Contest entries seem to get down voted the most.
