Hello!

I'm Glenn from the Strip Show Revue13 and we are looking for new acts to review!

And by acts I mean webcomics...

You can see who's already on our list, Waiting in the Wings21, right here.

If you'd like to get your comic reviewed comment here or PM me, whatever you feel comfortable with. Our reviews are different in that we're not necessarily recommending a comic for an audience to read, but rather breaking down what works/is good and what needs improvement for a comic for the creator. Of course, it's all subjective to the rewiewer. BTW, the list you see on the site is the order we go in. As for the reviewer it could be any one of us, and there are four.

If you are a creator and are interested in a review, I'd also like to know what in particularly are you looking to find out about your work. What are the questions you want answered and we can make a note of that and try and include that in the review.

If you're a reader please support us by reading the reviews, sharing them, and commenting. Any little bit helps.

I've been making JODDAS VAPD for over three years now on Wordpress, but recently switched over here to Tapastic. I break my series into seasons, because I like to read/watch seasons/volumes as to watch everything in a single sit through. Also I separate my specials as well. I just need to know what works in my series and what new improvements I need before I get my 4th season started on Tapastic. I uploaded only the first season in the link, but everything from season 1-3 is currently on the site (some of season 3 is still being uploaded)

Ah, I remember tweeting to you guys asking about how to go about getting onto the list but I completely blanked on responding--I'm glad you've posted here as well!!

I'd definitely like my comic Nocturne2 added to the list, if you wouldn't mind!

Eep, gonna work in a quick edit here: Specifically in my review, my biggest concern is my storytelling, pacing and character relatability, as well as the art/layout/atmosphere presented in chapter 2 specifically. My first chapter was an extremely rocky start and I started putting a lot more emphasis into the visuals in chapter 2, so specifically there is where I'd like the review of the art to focus, because that is the direction I intend to head in the future with my comic as well. As for the story, I would really love your completely honest opinion on anything from dialogue to pacing to character connections!

I'd like to have Whose World1 reviewed, but I'm a bit hesitant.

The last time someone offered to give a review, they spent a bunch of time saying how bad the comedy was--even though the humor in my comic isn't the main focus. The character interaction and development are the most important, I think.

Anyway. You can rip my comic a new one, if you'd like!

I think I asked in your previous forum post but probably too late to be seen. Anyway, I'd like a review of my superhero comic "The J-Man".

The aspect I'm most concerned about would be action pacing and character interactions. Especially characters. I'm worried I'm not making them 3-dimensional enough. Also, I don't know if there's some kind of cut off period with your reviews in terms of story length i.e. when you stop reading and start the review. I ask that you make it at least to the start of book 5 because a lot of art-related issues got resolved by then.

Doing this on my phone so I have to paste the links.

I'm currently in the middle of redueing my archive system, so it might be easier to follow/read the Tapastic version: https://tapastic.com/series/Jonny-Comic

Thanks!

Go for it!1

Just looking to see if it is making sense to people honestly. It's supposed to be cartoony absurdism comedic. I'm thinking its not as over the top violent as it needs to be....but it's a big story as opposed to short form. And what I've got so far may be a lot of setup...

I would love to have my comic reviewed by you! I just checked out some of your reviews and they seem really in depth and fair, and you have some really nice things to say about every comic but don't shy away from serious criticism.

I see you've already got a ton of comics on the list, but if you still have room I'd love a review of Heroic Shenanigans1. I guess my main concerns are whether or not the story is engaging and the characters are likable and relatable. Also, the first chapter was done in a different medium and style, so any comments about the art probably don't need to concern chapter 1 too much.

Thanks so much!

I understand, it's a lil hefty, but I appreciate the time and effort I'm sure you'll put into it.

Getting closer!

I added you to the list and took down your questions as well.

Added you to the list. I can't speak for the other reviewers, but if I find something that keeps coming up over and over, I do make a note of it. We aren't here to tear people down though. I would offer something constructive back.

I added you to the list along with your questions about the comic. For me, I usually try to read the entire archive and I take notes. If I don't finish the backlog I'll disclose that in the review along with why.

I added you to the list!

I added you to the list too!

You can view it Waiting in the Wings8 to see where your comic is. I also took down your questions in a separate doc that only the reviewers (and I guess everyone who stumbles across this forum post) will see.

I'd totally like to throw one of my comics into the show!
Guardian Ghost1 is my longest running series (at almost 5 years) and I'm more interested in seeing how the plot's going. The concept and characters developed as the comic did and the once One Dimensional characters became more multifaceted in the background. So I'm well aware of some of the plot pitfalls that may or may not be there, I guess this would be like...a way to see what I should retcon and what I could just add a mini-comic to add some backstory to or something.
Art's not as huge of a deal since I'm constantly shifting how things work as I figure out better techniques (and in some cases life kicks my butt and my comic process/art quality suffers) and this comic was never going to have an art style that's set in stone, but I'm always open for ways to improve paneling and posing as well! smiley

OH GOSH I must've forgotten about replying to another one O:
Thanks for the heads up smiley

Seriously tho I totally forgot I had even pitched Fighting Dreamers, that wasn't me trying to self promote it just escaped my mind entirely
