All great so far for me, except for one thing:

So freakin hot this time a year, I can't wait for winter though.

I wrote over 100k words! Didn't have much of a life beyond writing. Watched Oppenheimer, M:I7, and Barbie, though.

Mine was good! I went to upper Michigan for vacation and it was beautiful. My 25th birthday was early this month, too

I...

  1. Left my, er... career... of peddling English in East Asia.
  2. Spent June holed up in an AirBnB in Seoul and I wrote three scripts/ thumbnails of my SF comic.
  3. I returned to Canada and LUCKED OUT in finding an affordable place to live within a month. Networking works.
  4. July and August were spent developing ideas, drawing, and then redrawing and redeveloping because comics are a medium of first drafts going live and why should I do that?

I also...

  1. Bailed out a basement and tried to dig a drainage ditch at the same time through a yard made of roots and boulders.
  2. Spent the entire summer fighting the government to get back on the provincial healthcare system and it's looking like it'll be late fall before I can actually go see a doctor for the chronic pain that made me stop peddling English to begin with.
  3. Had my pet dander allergies pop off after years of dormancy because everyone here owns at least one cat.

But I...

  1. Discovered that most of the foods I like in East Asia are available here now so any urges to return can be quelled with buying a bag of Papico or jug of kimchi.
  2. Reconnected with friends and family after spending most of the past 20 years isolated in East Asia.

Sadly, I...

  1. Find retirement suits me but the knowledge that my savings will run out in a few years, if not sooner, and that I ill have to get back to work hangs over my head like the Sword of Damocles.

Started out extremely dry in May with wildfires that destroyed whole communities. That came to an end with torrential rain in June and deadly flash floods. It has rained every weekend since then except for one (and it even rained on that one, but only a little bit). Now we’re looking to getting smacked by hurricane Lee this weekend.

That said, I did get some stuff done. I got a bunch of gardening done, built the four walls for the addition I’m putting on the house (just waiting on roof trusses now), built a shed, replaced my wood stove and built a new platform for it, and even did some drawing, though not as much as I’d have liked to have done.

Don't remind me, it's heading right for my house. I'll need to check up on the emergency water and candles later.

The only thing I can remember about summer was the heat, it was too much this year thanks to El Niño :confounded:
and the passing of two super typhoons (category 4-5)

Good stuff...

  • Got a lot of pages posted
  • Saw the Barbie movie and Across the Spiderverse
  • Went to the beach.

Bad stuff...

  • a lot of stress and annoying life stuff. It has been taking a toll on my physical health so I spent a lot of the Summer just feeling sick.

My summer was decent could have been better but I did some writing, found some good books and manga, made money.

Hot and fun! Had a good amount of lake and river time with my daughter on the jet skis, spent a lot of time with my mom, read a lot of cool stuff on here and am bringing my first Tapas novel to a conclusion.

The summer was good except the 4 weeks of nonstop rain in Germany.
Started teaching drawing to kids, finished a comic, played some good
shows

I finally visited Dubai and tried efoil, and let me tell you, it was the highlight of my summer! Flying above the water, feeling the sun and wind on my face, with the magnificent skyline in the background was surreal. The sensation was a mix of surfing and flying. I got the hang of it quicker than I thought, and it genuinely added a thrilling dimension to my summer adventures. If you ever get the chance to visit Dubai, or even if you're looking for a unique experience during your next summer, check out https://yeprent.com/wakesurf-dubai . Beyond just efoil, they offer a range of water sports that can make any summer unforgettable!

10K comments left to other creators milestone.

Did 89 panels since Saturday, 38ish for the DD awards presentation for Most Supportive Reader, the other 27 and 24 for my current on going series.

Overall my Summer was pretty good, I got a lot done, getting ill 2 weeks ago sucked but it didn't slow me down that much.

I'm getting excited for April when Phantom Force 3000 starts. I'm so pumped up even though I really should try to rest xD.
