Once again, I am opening up Promotions for the Dark Genres! I absolutely love darker stories so show me your work! People who are looking to read dark stories may refer to this thread. Let's make a collective!

Genre preferably Supernatural and Horror. Secondary genre could be anything, from Comedy to Romance to Thriller, as long they have a darker storyline. Mature content okay. LGBTQ content okay.

I will start with my own comic. I just updated Chapter 4.

Hiya! Thank you for the thread. My work absolutely leans towards darker themes both in my art and writing. For those who don't know me yet, I write a sci-fi series called "Red Shift". It deals with sociopolitics on alien worlds, corrupt science and it's impact on biology, annihilation of free will and the consequences, etc

Oh my! Thank you for making this thread! Your work looks very interesting and intriguing, I will definitely check it out!

My novel is more of a mystery supernatural novel but holds plenty of darker elements throughout the whole story, that is why I would say it is more dark fantasy than regular. It holds some mature content at times, but these chapters will be marked mature with a warning for potential triggers at the top.

Sweetness! Here's my Dark Fantasy novel. It got some funny moment to make you laugh sure but what happens if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time? Well, you'll probably end up like the main character of story where he has to survive in the demon realm and join the crusade of a group of demons otherwise he's going to be tonight's dinner.

Although not as dark as everyone else's Heress herself is already carrying a sense of the darker aspects of this land. As my writing usually goes, it will get dark and trudge into heavy topics.

Posting here preemptively because my comic will get into supernatural and horror genres eventually, but it's kind of slow-burn horror, which in retrospect was a terrible pacing choice.

My comic is in the fantasy category, however, it is very dark. The main plot is about vampires, blood, betrayal and the fear that comes with this life style. Here's the link...

i guess mine would belong on here though it's more just weird and darkly comedic than anything. it's only in the current chapter when the supernatural/magic stuff becomes more prominent and horror undertones are introduced (until way down the line when the main antagonist actually shows and the story takes a nosedive into just straight horror)
