I remember way back, during covid, me, my mum and sister were trying to come up with an anime character for a potential tv series, the plot was that this girl was psychic, and trying to keep it a secret while working in an office. I don't have the picture anymore, but she had green hair, different colored eyes, and had a strawberry design. And then there was this other character who I came up with around the same time who was very much into video games, always wore a cap and was gay. The plot that I came up for this one was that she competed in video game torunaments, and that's all I can remember.

The first oc i made for my most recent comic was the female lead, Texas "Callie" Callaway. I've been making characters my whole life, so i can't remember the very first, but this one I designed about a week ago with the help of two of my younger siblings and i really love the way she turned out.

edit: My brother just reminded me of the oldest OC he can remember me having made. Her name was "the Hot Rose" i think I was like 7. I know she had fire powers, but i think she had plant powers as well. rather dichotomous lol

Way back in my elementary years, I remember creating this OC off a school project. He had an acorn head, and leaves for a body. I called him Acorn Man, and I remember making a superhero comic about him fighting the forces of winter or something like that. He also had a sidekick "something" Lad. I was way into superheroes in my childhood, created/acted out so many super chars, but that might be the first OC and truly earliest comic I've done. I'd love to publish the original and redraw it as an all-ages comic/one-shot...if I can find it in my 30 year-old mountain of art projects.

I think it was over two years ago back before I really got into art and I was attempting to make animations on scratch. I wanted a “main character” for silly little slice of life animations so I made Lilly. My username was LillyBlossom (still is sob) I based her off of a character I made in a dress up game once. She had long pink hair wore a green sweater and was like half angel and half goblin. I still draw her occasionally, but I changed her lore and gave her a bit of a haircut. I’ve drawn characters before her, but they didn’t have any lore so I don’t remember them at all and they don’t count.

10 May, 1988. I was in high school and had just finished writing a math test. As always, I started doodling on the back of it while waiting for class to end. The previous night I had watched a nature show about sharks and it said that they have to keep moving in order to breathe. I thought "That would suck", and so I drew a comic with two fish talking about a shark who was swimming by but asleep. That shark was named Sam, and he was my first original character. My math teacher loved the comic and encouraged me to keep drawing. Sam the Shark ended up being published weekly in the school newspaper.

Here is Sam. This is a later version of the first comic that he was ever in, the one drawn on that math test. I drew this on my trusty 286 computer with ZSoft Paintbrush (a very primitive precursor to Microsoft Paintbrush). Sadly, I do not have the original pencil/pen version:

Here's a similar era Sam comic but drawn in pen. My God, how I loved those Uni-Ball medium point ballpoints!

I’ve made so so many, so I can’t possibly pinpoint the first, but I’ll tell you the first I remember!
This is the first furry I ever made, it was drawn in procreate in 2017 in the air port. Her name was Opal, she was a Tiger cat thing… yeah, I know, it sucks, but hey I was younger and much less skilled.

Ronald Dimau... my "Tyler durden" equivalent when I was a loser omega male in high school.

He is tough, badass, and a total sigma. Not like his loser creator.

The first OC I ever made was a red cat named Cat Bear. To be fair, I was three years old. :stuck_out_tongue:

It was a princess inspired by Tangled. I was obsessed with that movie. However, she was a puppet for the country's government as her parents had died. Her male lead was a magician who crash-landed in her tower's roof. It was written and the appearances drawn in a lined notebook...

Oh man. I remember I had a sonic oc as a preteen. She was a monkey and had electricity powers, but she could also... switch minds with others? I think? I remember that I had a little fanfic in my head where Sonic was drowning in one of Eggman's traps but she could switch minds with him and swim/make sure he didn't drown due to panic lol. And that's about all I remember haha. OH wait she also had a purple dress that I think was also designed to have the silhouette of a banana peel LOLOL
