It's not that simple. Each platform has different formats and limits. For example, webtoon has width limits and won't do PNG (the default I save my comic in). So they require special formatting every time. Then some require thumbnails, each with different limits, and you can't just add your comic page in. Each platform has a different method of posting. And if you queue up batches instead of doing 1-by-1, you need to track which one goes where. Some have different tagging systems, too.

It's time consuming to make it all decent in the end.

Then there's the question of how are you promoting each platform? Are you cross-linking everything so people can read on their preferred site? Are you participating in the communities to build your visibility? And if you're not promoting it for that platform.....why post there? You'll be drowned out by everyone else's content and it won't be worth the effort to keep posting there.

i got a pass from Mangatoon. its not a strict as webcomicsapp i dont think

ok how long does it take for them to post after passing?... or is passing a bad thing... like they passed you by?

from what i read, its for advertisement within the website or social media. (tapas has the same rule)

and they have the right to remove your content without warning.

Yes, but that's another thing. I don't think Tapas owns the right to print your work etc without informing you.

well the only one i know for sure thats on there is @ghostmaya so i guess ask them about that? (if they even know?)

I just started just last week so I don't have any clue about that app yet.

When I went to "Edit comic info" I was told to check some boxes then I was asked to give my my "full name" which will be used as my digital signature and I gave them my penname I use on webtoon instead of my real name because
I wasn't sure if they wanted my penname or my real name.
Has anyone else done the same?

Also, do they accept any type of comics?
I saw there a comic made in a game called Gacha life which can be found in Play store and appstore

the ammount of attention that comic got threw me in a fit of self loathing yesterday... i'm pretending it doesnt exist...

I am sorry if you feel that way :frowning: also don't give up on what you love to do

Wait, do they need to approve what you upload or is it like Webtoon discover where everyone can just post freely? Because I created the series and uploaded a cover, but did not upload any pages yet because I was too busy to resize. but likeee a day later they emailed me asked if I was going to continue uploading because they're interested in the series??? So do they look at every single contribution and approve it? also, if u post it on their site are u like automatically agreeing to be exclusive to them? I'm so confused :frowning:

after checking my comic this morning (i have to search it ) i noticed that comic was removed due to several claims of art theft... so imma say no... but i think the Clip Studio models are fine since they are pretty royalty free

oh nono, Rizzvatt said there was a gacha comic on the site (gacha life being a mobile game) and it was taken down cause they were using the game's assets and with Mangatoon, you get support function right at the get go so...

it doesnt have anything to do with me
