After a while, I think there comes a time when there shouldn't be any PC culture topics here. Not with the way some act when it comes up.

Because, based on what I've seen, there are a lot of people (repeated offenders) on both spectrum who turn it into a "well if it wasn't for XYZ"...and just take it ALL into a different direction.

The moment it came up, it was "well, the ABC or the XYZ did this!!" Like...answer the question. A lot of people were answering the question, but you gotta have people who turn it into a whole political argument.

But that's why I steer clear of that nonsense anyhow. I've got better ways to spend my time than argue with people over the internets. Used to get upset when I was younger. Now, I'm just too tired for that kind of stress.

Tis a shame. We shouldn't have to restrict certain topics, but when it just spirals down into arguments, it can be best to just set it aside for another time.

I wish there was a way to permanently keep creepy strangers from hitting on me >>
Ended up suspecting my neighbor because of how often this happens. Whoops ;;

I know how it is to be creepily approached,(it was more on the awkward side than in the creepy one) so....i kind of understand your pain.

Is your neighbour too flirty, stares you too much or anything? or you just suspect him because creeps hitting on you is too common?

I don`t know how to not atract them....because beauty is a first impression and creeps seem to judge by this first impression. So is not like i can tell you "be ugly" as advice.

Sorry you have to deal with that. Unfortunately beauty is a double edge weapon.("i am not calling you beautifull you baka!", my point is about a reason creeps may be hitting on you). I wish you the best.

If they are hitting on you, tell them you are already taken. Never tell them you are single because some people will go "I'm single, your single, we should hook up." I've also heard of some lesbian women telling creepy men that they already have a boyfriend. Yes it is lying, but they will leave.

For the ones who don't...I don't know what to say. If is someone you know, maybe tell people around you. If it is your neighbor, tell the person you live with or your friends about your concerns.

Just a question. Was this post meant to this tread or the "Do you feel as though PC culture has persuaded creators to be less vocal on their views?" thread?.

Anyway @ratique , thanks a lot for your hardwork in keeping the harmony here.

I'm fine, just cried a whole bunch so now I have a headache.

@TheThoughtfulBoxful
When I thought art/writing block is the worst thing, there's this.
Being forced to write in a form I'm not used to is the absolute worst.
I'm used to writing in prose, and then I have to use that skill and write a song. A graduation song, with our school (and its admittedly crappy themes) plastered over it.

When will it end...

(on an unrelated note, can someone send a text formatting guide to the tapas forums here? i'm really intrigued on how to change the size and format of text in here...)

Bitching about the bitching thread on the bitching thread. That's a whole load of meta!

yeah. me neither.
i thought it just closed down because of a post limit.
then...well...

why do we need to close down those types of things, anyway..?

For my standards, and for standards' internet in general, things were calm. But well, maybe the mod could see the storm coming and it was a matter of time until someone get really triggered and start some real drama. Pc Culture, BL and Tapas and Webtoons 'controversial' ways to deal with stats always end up in a brawl! :joy:

"Let them fight!"

The way you're going to see brand-new, unconventional ideas is through bloodshed.
People will get hurt, but invariably, that's how the world works.
Regrettably.

Yes, unfortunatelly. Pioneers always get some good beats before people listen to them!

Hai.

While we're here busy bemoaning the hardships of visionaries...
Why would they not be heard right the first time?

@NickRowler @DiegoPalacios Nah, he just got too close while I walked to the store telling me I was overdressed for the weirdly warm weather and attempting to unbutton my coat. So, the second option, I think.

Thanks!

There is no post limit (as you can see on this thread).

It was closed down because the overall tone devolved, just asking for a blow-up.

This forum has very high standards on what is acceptable compared what you usually find on forums I suppose. If you want blood and war, I'm sure you will have no problem finding it in other forums. There is really no place for that here.

Some users don't like that, for others it's not strict enough. I'm screwed either way I choose. XD

I think there's no fault in that.

Sometimes, people take things WAY out of proportions, away from the topic at hand no less, and it just spirals out of control.

And I think it helps people to sorta step back, maybe breathe a bit, and try again without all that arguing. Sides, forums in general are supposed to be places where you can relax, chat with people, maybe share a few ideas. All that arguing ruins the fun for everyone.
