I get where you're coming from. Even as a non LGBT person, I always hated the idea of how religion is delivered in a mean judgemental way.
I remember parents forcing me to pray rosary and even got me to kneel on grains of rice. Lol I learned to hate God and religion as a result. Became atheist for awhile.
Only got back around to become Christian after I've had undeniable proof of hell, demons, God, heaven, etc. Before Christianity, I've transitioned from atheist to spiritual non religious after witnessing proof of existence of spiritual but no proof yet that heaven and hell and the Bible is true.
If only more Christians had understanding of the Bible as more like a spiritual health manual instead of looking at it like a set of laws, there would be less of this mean judgemental attitude.
I joined a church a few times to go out street preaching and I had to play "voice of reason" a few times as many people I was with was all out angry "you're going to Hell" to everyone...
I tell people they're in sin but it's not my job to be mean and condemn you. It's your own soul you damage with your sin and it's all on you. If I truly do care like you're very close to me or something, I'd be weeping on my knees BEGGING you to stop your sin.
