Mine has to be 'defying the odds'. Each of my characters seem to be reaching for something that seems impossible to reach.

my novel is about hope and perseverance, even when the world is dark you can;t hide, you can only go forward ,it will become way more apparent the further along my novel goes

My novel deals with mental illness, relationships and familial bonds, and LGBTQ themes (including self-acceptance).

Its in the name, finding a peace of mind

...or you know family or some shit

I would say the main themes of "Red Shift" are...

-Realizing not everyone gets a happy ending and coming to terms with that.
-And fighting for justice even if that means making personal sacrifices.

You know, I hadn't thought about it, not because there's no theme but rather that's always something I feel on the back of my head as I'm writing. I suppose the theme in mine would be growth and the internal conflict of different ideologies. My main character was raised by two very opposing views that shaped her, and while here she has already made her choice in that regard, now she has to live with it and adapt to what that means. Plus, something that goes through all of Frontier-0, war, found family, etc. But that first one was definitely the main one at the core of the story, I'd say. If you want to check it, there it is! It's basically Mass Effect meets Treasure Planter, is always my pitch lol.

How physical beauty isn't always an indication of goodness. Many do equate physical beauty with positive character traits in real life (at least, that's what I read somewhere), and I thought that was interesting.

Poison2 (I don't know how to add a link where it shows the novel cover and summary TT)

Jade Kingdoms is about taking back power and setting yourself free from the past events created by others but still have effect on you. I want to show that familial trauma can and SHOULD be healed, otherwise it comes back to hurts those that are innocent. Mental health needs to be taken serious, people's thoughts and feelings need to be taken serious. And most of all; people need to stop running away from it and saddle their kids up with their nonsense. Or worse, blame them for the problems in their life THEY started to begin with. Cause and consequence.

Jade Kingdoms shows those fighting to break free from the past generation's shitty choices, while said generation does whatever it can to prevent the young to upend what they 'worked' so hard for to achieve, even if it was done by doing toxic things.

Mine is mostly about rediscovery. My main character, Railynn, goes through a butt ton of trials in my novel. Through them she discovers so much about herself that she did not know.

There is also of course the main plot where they fight the evil prince and try and save the realm from his greedy twisted ways.

So mine is really about rebirth, rediscovering and discovering who you are.

Main theme: To prevent the planet from being taken over by people from Kepler called descendants. In order to prevent this scenario academies opened up to train the new generation. Will the humans have to relocate or will they defy density.

This is one of the first novels that I really thought about the message I wanted to convey.

The idea of leaving a mark on the world and of being known as someone who just lived is amazing. It had been swimming in my mind as I layed out "Terroristic Manifesto".

The theme being greed- to want to be so known that one turns into a monster due to their greed. But also an understanding as to why one becomes greedy.

For The Monster Princess....possibly...villains have hearts too?

What would you do for love if you had all the resource in the world and was also completely morally bankrupt.

My main themes are the importance of a solid support network, and the rocky road to self-acceptance.

The main theme of my latest novel would be:
1. Technology is a double-edged sword
2. Ways to not parent your kid

The novel I'm working on is a horror anthology. While each story is unique and different from the other, the main themes are:

  • How love and fear have more in common than we are led to believe
  • How love and fear influence the choices we make
  • The perils of ego

The theme of the first book is self-reliance. Two of the characters are fleeing from circumstances. Rhunal was a slave, although she was essentially a magical apprentice too. Brondulf ran away from the life of a noble, which seems cushy and easy, but has rigid stipulations. But just because they left something doesn't mean everything is better. Both have left a safety net and now must learn to rely on themselves.

I think if you had to pick a central theme for my novel it would be about fighting for what you believe in even when things seem overwhelming, odds seem slim, and you're forced to work with the lesser of two evils to achieve your goals.

Also, you know, standing up to tyranny and all that jazz.
