You kept the feel of the thicker boxes, whilst not taking too much attention from the pictures inside.
I like it -- it has the best of both box types.~ (>uo)

hello everyone! I am trying to decide on the main title typeface for my comic Reus5, but I'm having a hard time finalizing on which one I like best. What do you all think looks the most appealing? 1,2,3, or 4?

I know they are all similar, which is part of the reason I'm struggling =_=
Here2 and Here3 are some banner images with the fonts I have used thus far. There's nothing particularly wrong with either of those fonts--in fact I quite like them. But I wanted to create something a little more unique/memorable.
thoughts??

p.s. I've only included the font-aspect for now. I will add other elements (e.g. symbols and the like) once I've decided which of the four I like best!

I would go with #4. Looks easier to read compared to the others.

I would go with 3 as it has the space as logo number 4 yet doesn't have the large s that closes the smaller case letters. The small s could go with a bit more line thickness as the s is harder to read.

I like number 1 because it's a lot more stylized than the others. However the other ones are easier to read, so I think 3 would be the best one smile The space in 4 makes it look a little too scribbley, 3 is sort of the happy medium IMO.

I like this! And if it's a style you're comfortable with, I say go for it! It kinda reminds me of a mix between All This Doubt and awut. Very nice! ~ <3

I'm pretty confortable with this style. I made it in a way I can draw fast, because I don't have much time.
I'm happy that you liked it smile

Hey! Since my switch from b/w to color pages, I've been trying to tweak things a bit to help tone down the digital look. So far I've got this(below). Is that better, worse, or do you guys have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Current Page 5:

Slightly Tweaked Ver.

I like the slightly tweaked version better. They're both well done, but I think the second one is more interesting. It adds texture and matches the gritty western theme you seem to have going.

Thanks for the help! I thought the same thing myself, but I was also worried a bit about adding too much too it. Looks like I've got some thing new to add next chapter! ^^

I think I actually prefer the first one, the characters seem to stand out more and it looks cleaner. If you are going to use the second method I would recommend reducing the grain on your points of focus. (e.g. the walking character and the fellow with the red hat)

Very true! It's all on another layer, so I just need to lower the opacity some more and it should be good. Thanks for the help, Young Adventurer!

Hey people!! I need to know which side is better so I can include it for my next update. The one to the left is my original concept, but I don't know what would look good on Tapastic's comic page. Thank you for the help. Peace. :))
