Working on a long panel and trying out some CSP Assets/brushes (the rocks on the back wall and the wood grain on the front steps).

While I was putting in the cobblestone detail my 8-year-old leans his head on my shoulder and says "I think everyone is going to like the detail you're putting in this picture." :sob: What a stink'n sweetheart!

Also, can't wait for Artemis to yell "FLAME ON!" for this panel (that is legit going to happen).

So, I remembered that I had a list of female superheroines from different places and time, and what another excuse for drawing them do I need? Lo and behold, Nelvana of the Northern Lights! I would love to see a modern take of her, made by someone who knows how to modernize old costumes, but respecting the whole idea of the character.
Who can I do next? Fantomette? Darna? I have some nice ideas for them =D

@DanielRKM That would be the moment that makes the theatre roar. Liking the build-up

@Aleksei I just looked up Darna's design and I think it would look awesome in your style!

@LCT_m_a_d Ha! Thank you! Yeah, pretty soon they'll be some actual suspense in the book (and it won't be a "Flame on!" just the be a night light. :joy:
@Kelheor Thank you! I'll pass that along! He's got so much heart, this kid.

@Veropatra Aiden? looks like Aiden to me hahaha

most likely be happy about it :joy:

Kelheor in 2019: I hate drawing feet :triumph:
Kelheor in 2021-22: huehuehue feeeeeetz

@rumpenstiltzkin Sure thing! I'm a creative director for a small network of (relatively biggish) breweries. I started off as a bartender with an arts degree at Magic Hat in Burlington, Vermont and somehow made my way into their creative agency (and every now and then, I get to make silly animated videos like this one for Genesee). I came for the beer. I got an art job instead (and beer too!).

@Kelheor Yup! I'd be lying if I said I didn't pitch the idea of dramatic stripping for our burly riverboat captain. Dreams come true!
