I´m trying something new, sketching without looking at the canvas.
I have the feeling that it´s good for the ability to picture scenes in
my head. Something I´m not good at and want to get better at.
I inked over the sketch and put the old paper thingy behind it to
make it look fancy :stuck_out_tongue:

Another thing I´m training at the moment is a 4 step training method
which is pretty satisfying so far
1) trace over the picture
2) draw it by looking at the reference
3) draw it without looking at the reference
4) draw it without looking at the canvas

I´m doing this training right now with proportions, heads, facial features
and rooms

Thanks! Also, It's awesome to see you've got a mural class happening. I'd love to see a mural by you someday (no pressure)!

I doodled this little drawing but then I found out I have a whole bunch of brushes on Krita that I haven't seen before, so I just kinda went at it. Playing with digital brushes is always a fun excercise!

@DualDragons Really nice values. I like how you nailed down the contrasting textures.

@DanielRKM  There's already a fair amount of pressure to learn how to work in color. I naturally prefer working in larger sizes so the local mural initiative is kind of exciting. I'm going back to my colored digital designs so that I can develop some concepts.

@Kelheor I like how most of his face is showing and just her profile :innocent:

I’ve been experimenting recently. With lighter lines on things further away, as well as on some of the finer details.

I used to just ink everything in the same (chonky) brush, but now I think a variety of line thicknesses is more fun to look at. Hopefully.

I can’t seen an exact date, but it looks like the sketch a day thread is two years old this month.:heart:

Day two, I'm almost where I'm supposed to be. Downside of making up your mind a couple days late.

Notice the difference between these two characters. Psychopathy looks like Little Miss Perfect, but if you look at the kitchen counter? She's clearly nuts.
Sociopathy, on the other hand, looks like an absolute menace. He's beating up a random guy in an alley, for crying out loud. But he seems to be redeemable - he's questioning right and wrong.

I am so nervous my next prompt is Depression, and my whole family has a habit of barging in my room at the wrong time

The cool thing about is that I´m super focused when I draw blind.
I only been doing this for one day but I think it will be good for my visual
library because I´m forced to see it in front of my inner eye
