My serie's new banner (done during my breaks between study sessions) hehe~:sparkles:

I've been enjoying them a lot!

People asked. Gosh it was so uncomfortable to draw. I guess I didn't left him without a nose for nothing.

People! There will be a new Gatchaman comic, and I just wanted to say that I loved the series, and this androgynous dude, so I made this. Enjoy.

Sketching Lyza on her side view.

Trying to sketch her realistically. Do you think her shoulder is a bit too wide or is this fine?

How old is Lyza?
I would first check her full figure anatomy before thinking
about the shoulder width

I would make her ribcage and pelvis way bigger when you want to draw
her in a realistic style. It depends on how many heads she is talls but
5,5 head proportions like in your drawing are really short for a grown person

Yeah, she's about 5'5 or maybe 5'3... she's still average sized in the smaller portion. So, your suggestion is making her a bit taller and her ribcage a bit wider? She's not petite either.

While designing a set of extras, I kinda accidentally (re)designed a Kyara outfit :eyes:

My first true "sketch", or "doodle", in over thirty years. Shaded using crosshatching like I used to with a ballpoint pen (but this was done using Krita)

Now I see why people like doing B&W comics. Had I done this in full colour it might have taken hours. Doing it like this took minutes, and I like how it turned out. Not enough to give up my colours, but still...

Work in progress haha, it's pretty fun when not working on the comic.

Anybody do animatics to promote their work?

Besides color, the limitations of B&W can lead to some very creative choices. It also highlights weak points in your work.

I for one love the challenge of pure monochromatic art, no gray, just black and white.

The New Cover of Lyza's Sandstorm... continuing Chapter 09 with Diary 2: SING LIKE MAMA!!

I used to do monochrome as well, with very little shading. These comics used to appear in my high school newspaper, which was basically done on a photocopier. It was very low-resolution, so drawings could not be overly complicated (please forgive the obvious Simpsons-inspired drawing style. I was a teenager and back then the Simpsons were everything):

You might be wondering why he would have a cross to protect himself from holy cheese. I am too.

lol I love Mev’s face she looks so happy go lucky then meanwhile next her it’s like -___-. Also … Holy cheese?? And not just because it has holes??

When you slightly slander your own characters~ it’s okay though he’s the main antagonist. Video game propaganda version vs the in canon version. >:0 OH NO!!!

Yes the google search is cringe :sparkles:
